I wonder if whomever the tractors were destined for will have to eat the cost of the tractors? Hopefully, they won't need to sue. Some companies/insurance won't pay unless a judgment makes them.
There was a RR bridge like that when I lived in Madison, WI. At least once a week it seemed there was a truck wedged under it. The result amazing thing was how often it was locals that did it. They even put a flap with a switch the trucks would hit first that flashed lights and alarm and told them to turn right before the bridge but they barreled through. Or the driver could have called a tow truck and had the tractor/trailer removed from the crossing before the train got there.
Funny all the could've would've, should've comments. I haven't seen anything that indicates the truck was stuck for very long before the train showed up.
