This thread is a fun read ,, well, it has been a fun read. I don't plan to read through again though!
I subscribe to several technology type forums, and this one topic is no different than the others. The Scientist claim proof, but can not show any. (deezler) Only the (can and may) or anecdotal evidence.
The deniers camp on the "that is true, but it's only a matter of degree, and there is no real facts available" position.
The absolute worst are those who sit a fence, but comply under the shelter of "this one small concession" . A concession to clouded fear is a fools mission.
Two important things I have heard about this "flattening the curve" /protection thing regarding the Wahoo Flu.
Wearing a mask is like being in a swimming pool. The other swimmers may very well have swim suits on when they take a piss, but you are in the waters just the same.
And on a lighter note.
I've found a wonderful "self test for this flu"
Each evening, I pour out a shot of my finest bourbon whiskey into a snifter glass.
I take a wiff, to check the bouquet, Knowing that loss of smell is a sure sign of infection.
Having passed that test, I drink the liquor down slowly, checking the taste. For loss of the sense of taste is another scienterffically established symptom.
When the snifter is empty, I am pretty confident I have not been made ill by the deathly virus.
Typically I administer this self test 6 to 10 times each evening. So far so good! ;-)
And on an even BRIGHTER NOTE
My state has had but ONE Sars-Cov-2 realted mortality over the previous two months! I personally know ON ONE that has had the illness, and have only heard of two persons who had the disease. those two, brothers in fact, died. One with a long history of lung issues, the other a long history of heart issues. Both obese, smokers, and hard drinkers. Not that that is that bright a note, but without the internet news, I would not be affected by the virus at all. lucky me!
