I called RJ trailers and the cheapest trailer they have with 7k axles is $3295 and it has a light frame and sides with a pipe top rail. The flat equipment style trailer is $3795.

Sorry I'm just telling you what they told me. The ones he had on his lot were that price but they had fold up ramps and dovetail.

Are we talking apple to apples? Is that for 7k axles? I have checked a half dozen dealers in a 5 hour radius of here and nothing below $3500. Please let me know where you are seeing these deals. I don't mind traveling to pick it up.

i purchased Big Tex trailer once about 10 years ago... It looked great but I should have looked at it closer before purchasing.
About 1 year afterwards, I found myself constantly welding up cracks.. Then I found that my "pipe top rail" trailer was actually more of 2" exhaust tubing!!!!.. Cheap/light..etc.. It had nice paint on it though.! well, until I had to start burning it away welding..
