Keeping character, or restoring a pond

When those two ponds are running over the excess comes into our project pond.

Just a trickle at first.

Then the trickle becomes a flow, small flow, but a flow.

The flow grows as it goes.

Keep in mind there's a lot of flow needed to have overflow.

We still need more flow to have overflow.

One of our objectives was to redirect the flow of the water so it went down this channel instead of over the falls by the stone pier.

And educated estimate is we need one point six million gallons of water to bring the pond to our static or desirable level.

We didn't even have it to overflow yet.

But when overflow arrived........

It seemed to arrive everywhere at once.

This is the waterfalls that were designed to take some of the pressure off of the channel under flood conditions.

It covered the lower deck of the trideckta immediately.

 

[wroughtn_harv]

It also covered the deck of the grotto across from the stone pier.
