The deck of the grotto had also taken a drying position on flooding.

This is about four to six inches above static level. Hopefully in about a week or so the debris and dirt will settle and the water will be clear and pretty.

Then we'll get some pictures of the fountains and lights working.

It's been a long journey.

Gosh, Harv. I'm so glad you shared it. The pond is beautiful. Like you say, the flood waters will settle out and water will be clear. Then it's time to make postcards.

Thank you so much for giving us such a great thread and for adding to the beauty of the countryside.

Setting here trying to think of what to say. Can't quite get past WOW!!!!!.

Leo must have reminded the man upstairs we needed some rain. I never got a chance to meet Leo, but I'm sure he is looking down right now saying the same thing. WOW!!!!

We got almost 5 inches. The mud holes around me are ponds again. Just checked the Corps of Engineers site and Lake Lavon and is now 8 feet low up from 10 feet low.

Harvey, I think that water is already much clearer than the normal runoff. With all the rock and concrete, you've managed to hold erosion to a minimum. Like you say, it will clear in a week. Most other ponds would be murky for the next month. Mine sure will. They are red clay brown right now.

What a nice piece of work you've done there, a fitting self-made monument to your skill and art. Congratulations! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I thought it looked full when I drove by yesterday. Too bad you can't see more of it from the road.

How are you doing Bird?

I worry about you. I know this has to be hard for you.

I'll be working close today (a little muddy out where the fence is going in). If you get in our area today and have the time for a tour give a little notice and I'll personally arrange it.

Thanks guys.

James you're right. Leo would love it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

BTW you've met Leo. Take the five best things about your five best friends. Add the five best things about your five best teachers. Stir, then strain out the clumpy sugary stuff.

See? You've been around Leo and didn't even know it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Harvey, we've been over that way every day for the past week or so to Margaret's brother's place. His wife died Thursday evening, so we'll be going to the cemetery today instead of Wylie. I don't guess we'll get over that way quite so often now, but occasionally anyway.
