ken's bolt on hooks on b3200 bucket

Man, this is timely information. I just put this same question to Ken yesterday about my 2920.

Thanks for posting......it looks like the lip is supporting the chains pretty good, no?

Yeah, no issues so far. Normally for heavy lifts, I curl the bucket down and the chain doesn't put much pressure on the lip.

I also bought shorter bolts than Ken ships and skipped the lock washers and lock nuts (in lieu of red locktite) so that I could have less sticking out on the bucket side and on the hook side. I really wanted to use flat head or cap head allen bolts (with the low profile head inside the bucket), but could not find the right combination of grade and plating to make me comfortable using them.

I got a chance to put it together last weekend, this is how it came out. I used a couple of Ken's mounting plates to put the shackle mount inside the bucket and the hook on the lower part of the back of the bucket. The shackle mounts on the top of the bucket lip are from Ken's too.

Here is my bent bucket. Any idea how to straighten it so I can see about mounting the hooks or should I just see if someone can weld angle iron on as it is?

I would place 2 or 3 layers of 2x6 or 2x8's in the bottom of the bucket, then use a hydraulic bottle jack to push the bent out.
