Man, this is timely information. I just put this same question to Ken yesterday about my 2920.
Thanks for posting......it looks like the lip is supporting the chains pretty good, no?
Yeah, no issues so far. Normally for heavy lifts, I curl the bucket down and the chain doesn't put much pressure on the lip.
I also bought shorter bolts than Ken ships and skipped the lock washers and lock nuts (in lieu of red locktite) so that I could have less sticking out on the bucket side and on the hook side. I really wanted to use flat head or cap head allen bolts (with the low profile head inside the bucket), but could not find the right combination of grade and plating to make me comfortable using them.
