Killing Groundhogs!!!

A young one would be a smaller one.
As far as eating one how would it be any worse than a rabbit or squirrel? A ground hog is a vegetarian.
I would not eat a racoon or opposum becaude they are basically scavengers.

Have you ever thought about what some of your processed foods have in them, hotdogs etc ? I am sure you probably buy a lot worse foods than a ground hog in the store's etc and not know what you are actually getting. Do you like chicken ? Talk about a dirty animal, those things pick in the poop, maggots, rotten meat etc. KFC seems to sell a lot though.

a day or two ago I replied that nothing beats a good dog at catching 'hogs. Well today our present dog caught her first two. My son thinks it's three but I think she was carrying a previous kill. Anyway I sure did make her feel like she'd done good and I hope she becomes half as good as that other dog I mentioned.

I think I got one today with the smoke bomb I got from the farm store. It was in front of the house, not near anything combustible. Got both holes covered, will see in the morning if it returns. Now for the two under the shed, waiting for those traps to get here. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Guess your dog now knows what to do with those hogs. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

A nice varmit rifle or 22 magnum will take care of all your groundhog problems.
