killing off grass?

the only weedproof blanket is plastic sheeting, no material that lets air and water pass through is going to call itself weedproof but more like a "helps to prevent weeds" type description. If a willow tree will grow in a dirty gutter (and it will), a weed can grow in pea gravel.

Household vinegar will kill weeds. A blow torch kills them, too.
