Ok I was thinking something bad mite happen. I sprayed with Trimec 24D in the yard and 2
fields. What was left I added round up to so I could battle the Jimson weed and Polk berry in another field. That way I didn't waste what was in the tank.

Well in a few days when the rain stops I will try again! this time I'll try roundup and ams and see what happens.

As mentioned above, you haven't given the glyphosate enough time to show its effects on the weeds, assuming your application was at the label rate.

OK I'll wait! but I like to get this field leveled and weed free before the cold weather gets here.

By "leveling it," do you mean you are going to till the field? If so, there is no reason to kill the weeds. You already have thousands of weed seeds in the soil. Brushhog it a couple times and then till it. Many weeds have already matured and have dropped their seed by August, or they are so mature they are hard to kill in one application. Younger plants of any kind are easier to kill than mature ones. Are you going to plant a winter cover or just plant in the spring, and if so, what will you be planting? How large an area are you planting?

That's what I thought but was not sure next week I am going to plow the field and cut down a few pines then this farmer who rents my other field is going to disc it for me. I don't think I'll have enough time to do anything else to it before work starts back up for me. I have a lot of deer on my land so I want to put in a food plot if I do have time I livge to cover the field with a good fertilizer so next year I'll be good to go with what I plant, the field must be about 1 acre or so. Here a pic. of the field last time it was plowed was 20 yrs. ago I took my tractor on it for a drive and I was bouncing up and down very bumpy.

Time. With any Glyphosates (Roundup) you need time. As others have said 7-10 days for full effects after 3-5 you should see yellowing.

AMS works the same dry or liquid. It's added to change the PH of the water so the Glyphosate will work better. If the PH of the water is off it can cause antagonism issues with the Glyphosate. Your label should be in pounds per hundred gallons on the AMS. Also mixing 2,4D with the Glyphosate can also increase antagonism. But this mix is very common in agriculture. With the AMS in the mix you shouldn't see any negative effects.

When spraying 2,4d by itself read the label. But if memory serves me right it's needs a NIS Non-ionic Surfactant.

2,4D is in Crossbow. Crossbow also has Triclypur (sp) in it. That's what makes it better on woody stems. Also read the labels weeds are easier to control when they are smaller.
Always read the label. If mixing something and you are unsure about it use a small jar and test. If they separate and won't mix spray separate.
