Kinco KMG38 Sickle Mower

   / Kinco KMG38 Sickle Mower #21
I have Kinco KMG38. The sickle and the shaft coming from the engine has come apart. I have no idea how it is hooked up., no bolts or bolt holes, I am at a loss to figure this out. I would appreciate if someone could send me a picture or tell me how it is hooked up
Thank you

If you send me your e-mail address, I'll send a picture and try to explain.

I used my KMG38 for 17 years on a tree farm before getting tired and running into the same problem with an engine replacement. I have two of these machines that would serve well for parts as well as two brand new cutter heads in a wooden crate. I bought them when GardenWay closed in Troy NY. Apparently they bought a couple Kinco's to test out.

i would like to talk to you about the kinco parts. wtjacobswell@aol.com

Hi, guys. New to this forum. I just looked you up during a parts search for a Troy Bilt 34061 sickle bar mower. I'm reading that it's a Kinco copy and I remember that GW had a lot of their stuff that they rebranded. I need the plastic hold down levers that lock the drive levers in place for starting. (313 on the schematic) These are no longer available from MTD so I was trying to locate a number for Kinco. Does anyone know if they're still alive and well? Thanks in advance and I hope this post is still going. Ed in NC.

Hi, I've been lurking for years_

Usually I find out all I need to know by reading. Now, however, I'm thinking of either fixing my stuff or divesting. My first project is my father's old (1987) Kinko KMG 38 sickle bar mower. It has a briggs and stratton motor. These are a weird sort of set up. The carburetor is part of the gas tank so when the gasket starts to leak instead of replacing it you have to replace the whole thing. Kinko sold out a few years back and Troybilt no longer makes them. I called the man in Minnesota and had an enjoyable conversation with him a few years back, but still was not able to find a source for a new carb. If anyone has a used but working carb-gas tank combo for an industrial KMG 38, please contact me. Would love to get it working again. lastimp (at) embarqmail (dot) com. If you think you may have one but are not sure, I can email you a picture of my carb.

I have the 3.5 on mine. The linkage was off when I got it and was not running. Since then I put on new points and cleaned the carb. Can someone please email me a pic of the throttle and govner linkage? Thanks!
