I must apologize for the mis information, I scolded my friend that works for KK. he had just quoted me a rumor that was told to him concerning one of the other plants. he thought there was more working there. Anyway guess if you havent heard a rumor by 8 oclock start one.

My friend and his dad are now working with their lawyer to find a name that hasnt been taken, and one that doesnt sound fly by night.

I don't know what "other" plant you're talking about, but the plant in Athens, TN and the plant in Gallopolis, OH don't have that many employees either. No where near it in fact. I think most companies layoffs have been VASTLY over exaggerated.

The implement business is tough and already over-crowded. I would discourage starting something like this, unless you just really liked it and had lots of money to burn. But... that's just me.

Im not getting into the business, my friend and his father are in the custom Implement business. I just help buildtheir bending dies. They just take custom orders for smaller tractor dealrs that dont want to buy Chinese implements but not have a crappy cheap one either. Its like my customer in my shop the other day that came in with a boomp pole it was brand new on a trailer and the boom was only 14 gauge and the 2 lower braces we just stuck anywhere on the bottom and dobbed on. Very poor fit and fininsh. Broke lifting a 175 pound bulk seed bag. I showed him one of my friends that I was fitting a new die to and he wants one they set up a pipe notch so that all the joints will be aligned and none of this squashed end pipe fitting. But right now they mostly build custom high capacity box blades for poultry barn clean up. They als make cultivators, tool bars and a larger capacity pond scoop than others.
