funny you should mention that! this may be the dealer expediting the deal so i can get into the seat - without waiting longer for mounting hardware!

the tractor should have left the factory (well - that depends on who i listen to - was told by the dealer it left yesterday, but the factory said it's shipping tomorrow). and with the tractor, along goes the mounting hardware for the 2385 BH..

whoever said 'patience is a virtue' should be tar-and-feathered.

As you no doubt know, I don't have a DK55, but if I did, I would want the 8.5' BH. So if the other one is 8.5 and it will get you into your tractor faster, I would take it and go dig something. The older Kioti units were just fine from all I've been able to glean, it's just that Kioti found someone they say would make it cheaper. Maybe someone with the older model can tell you about his/hers, but what model number is the dealer offering you? John

( ordered a DK55 with the KB2385.. there appears to be 2 BHs for this tractor (the other is the KB 2375).

i'm asking because the dealer is giving me an option to stick with the 2385 or go with another (earlier) kioti model that was manufactured in the US. )

Don't go smaller than an 8 1/2' hoe on a 55 (my opinion)
Kioti previously used Rhino backhoes on their tractors.
I run a Rhino 85 (8 1/2' hoe) on my DK 35 and it works very well.

I have a Rhino 65A with a PTO pump on my LK, and it works great. I can't compare it to the new Kioti replacemant as I have not used that, but from the pictures they're tough to tell apart. I'm betting that the improvements are all to the bottom line!

I really like the PTO pump, for the reasons that John mentioned. The tractor does not even seem to notice the load, and thats with the engine well below 2000RPM most of the time. One of these days I'm going to try running it with the PTO set to the 1000RPM setting, and run the engine at half speed!

DK55 with a 2385 hoe.

Works great , BUT, the weak link here is the outriggers.
If left stock and per the manual do lift the rear tires off the ground with the out riggers and do not drag the tractor backward or forward with the hoe. You will tear the outriggers out of the base and rip the bottoms off the cylinders.

I recently repaired one and sent pictures to Kioti of the fix and beefing up we did.

Did the manual say to lift the rear wheels? When I bought mine - while the dealer was going over everything he said that it's a common mistake to totally lift the rear off the ground. To date I've never jacked it up that high while working - I do it just enough to plant the stabilizers firmly. I still get dragged backwards on occasion - but no damage to the tractor has come of it.

Did you use the attach option when you tried getting the picture in your post?
