Comparing the two tractors is like comparing Hyundai and Honda. They might both be good cars but ones resale value and reputation for quality and longevity far surpasses the other. It will take many more years before this will change. Look at how many years it took Honda.

I don't even have my tractor. Its currently on backorder as I not so patiently await delivery. Perhaps thats why im so angry as one forum member seemed to notice.

I'm betting it'll be more than worth the wait Tom .. uh once it's over (ouch!) & you get some seat time. My 20 yrs of experience with 23- 45hp tractors(6), and the three (Shibaura) CUTs that I wore myself out hopping on & off of Tuesday has much to do why I congratulate you for choosing what I wish I had. It's not perfect, but IMO "it's way ahead of whatever is in second place". (That unabashed model fandom is why I subscribed to this thread. )

You're going to love yours. :thumbsup: Get the little bits sorted out .. torque checks, ('rushed to dealer'? ) questions here, etc. and get your stuff done. You'll get over me being a poop-face before the 50hr 'break-in oil change'.

btw, The weight of this Kioti like the others is something to appreciate. Yours will do every bit of what my >30hp-rated CUTs can & then some. Enjoy!

Everybody needs at least 2 tractors in the stable. I say buy them both and eliminate the silly argument.

At the risk of starting a new argument...
It may surprise you but that change is already happening, Honda seems to be slipping the last several years compared to the Korean (Kia, Hyundai) manufacturers. Their reliability has dropped off quite a bit according to Consumer Reports. I was surprised personally, when the wife was looking at compact cars my automatic go to was a Civic, but they have had quite a few problems lately. Made me rethink that.

This is a tired argument.

First while resale is a possibility many (me!) do not go into this looking to sell. I plan to keep mine 20 years or longer, depending on my health. Not the same for everyone so it may play a part but this isn稚 a car where the life might be 7-10 years.

Second, if I start at 25k vs 20k then when both are older and at half value is there any surprise that the original lower price is reselling for less? Or can you actually point out data that shows that as a PERCENTAGE of original price - for comparable equipment and features - kubota resells for a higher percentage?

Third, even if I am wrong a bit about point two thereç—´ the time value of money. That 5k difference is worth a ton in 10-15 years by the time they get to half value. More than enough to make up for any PERCENTAGE gap.

So when you add it all up a less expensive tractor, given equal features and equal reliability, is a better long term value even if it resells for less years down the road.

If youæ±*e reselling before then well then you bought the wrong tractor. Happens. Life changes things. But if you think that going in then you probably are making a mistake bigger than which shade of orange you choose.

Understanding compact tractor sales are soaring roughly 60-70k tractors being bought yearly. Almost all brands are bringing there worth to the seller. It use to be top tier commanded top price now other tractor brands are changing that market myth. Kioti holds its value if it痴 been taken care of. Scab tractors abused with bent sheet metal faded paint and leaks all over even bring good money. It痴 a perception the tractor can be rebuilt granted some can others not so. Every brand has it undesirable models even green and orange tractors. The belief one brand is best is getting more difficult to defend with sales good for all brands. The question is how soon will the 25 hp engine and below be subjected to EPA requirements since more and more are being sold yearly they Puff black diesel upon starting up. I am reading some states are questioning the right to farm another obstacle for us small farmers to put up with.
