Kioti Dark Gray Paint

Anybody figure out what paint we can get that’s close to the Kioti frame dark gray/blue? I have a 2019 CK2610.

Just bought a rear blade that could use a sandblasting and fresh paint. Any off the shelf or luck with paint matching?

You could wait until you try to take your filters off your HST and then take some paint flakes to a reputable paint store to match. Those things are on there super tight and come with a coat of paint (from what I've heard).

Oh boy

I have some spare parts from when they did the 3rd function and rear PTO installs I could take in. Was just curious if anyone else had tried matching that paint.

Meh... do what we did in the Navy and 'borrow/liberate' a can of "Shipside Grey".

I recall seeing a few other "how to match this paint" threads....possibly in another section of this forum. Most of them were asking about the older Kioti blue/gray though. There have also been a few regarding the Kioti orange paint. I think they used a Dupli-Color or some other rattle can brand, primarily for touch-up work. Trying to find an out of the box color match is always tough.

Correct. I’ve found threads for the old light gray and the orange but now the current dark gray.

MattEverst, I did (years ago) just like you seem to be indicating you are planning to do now; I wanted to paint a new implement to match my tractor, so I took small, removable parts (one orange, the other gray) to the paint store. They have books with every conceivable shade of orange, and gray. I compared my part(s) with the paint 'chips', and when I found (what I thought was) the best match, they took the "numbers" and mixed up a quart each.

I do not remember the name of the colors, but unless you choose the same brand as me (Sherwin Williams), it wouldn't help; besides, you might well think some other shade was closer. I do remember it being a painless way to match colors, and didn't add any cost, or time - maybe I do not have as 'discerning' an eye as you, I just don't think it is all that critical for an implement.

If it had been more critical for me, the store offered to 'match' the paint; whereas they would have one of their 'experts' match the shade exactly. I would have to leave the part(s) overnight, and there would be a $35 charge (per color). My choice was easy! It's a tractor, not a show car! If it was that critical, I really don't think I would trust someone else's "numbers" to transfer to a different 'brand', or even a different store of the same brand- or even the same store, years later.

I don't understand Kioti's reluctance in 'publishing' their color formulas. Last I checked even the Kioti dealers couldn't get official Kioti orange or gray.

Thanks. I’ve seen plenty of Kubota orange and Ford blue and John Deere green at TSC but the closest I’ve seen is Chevy engine block orange but nothing for the gray. Sure it’s a tractor, just figured there’d be something really close without having a custom mix.

On a different thread, others suggested Rustoleum CHARCOAL Gray spray paint to match Kubota dark grey.

I have the same tractor and wanted to match the color on the bucket. For the base I used Rustoleum gloss charcoal grey and added some Rustoleum white to it. I had Rustoleum black in case I went too far. It did not take much white to get very close IIRC. I applied it to the rear of the bucket and was happy with the final match. For what it's worth, Toukow

Thanks - what kind of ratio? What size can? I was leaning towards the rattle can charcoal but the touch of white is interesting.

Take a small painted part off your tractor, and take that part to any paint store.
They will be able to computer match/make your color with a quart of industrial enamel.
I just went to my local Sherwin Williams store, for a match to Kubota dark gray.
$26 + tax for a quart of exact match equipment enamel.

First, I somehow missed many of the responses to your question so this may have been redundant. Second, I was actually trying to match the front end loader which is lighter than the tractor itself I believe. I have spray equipment, but if a rattle can matches that seems the way to go, or having a paint shop match as mentioned if you're picky. I started out 10:1 ratio, but that's an approximation.
