Tractors seem to shrink when you get them home.
Yeah.
I just don't know if I need that much tractor.
I know the dimensions are close on paper but when you park the Ck next to a DK40, the DK 40 is huge.
One thing I will miss about the L2550 is the awesome turning. the inside tire will turn almost 90 degrees to the tractor frame. Hit the cutter brakes and it will spin on one tire.
Do the 4WD's doe that (of course with 4wd shut off)?
I was disappointed how little the tires turned compared to my 2550. Will they still spin on one rear tire?
As far as what I need a tractor for.
- toy....ha ha
-moving dirt and spreading gravel.
-rough mowing (bush hog)
-moving stuff with pallets forks for SSQA.
-I do have a lot of down trees and brush, so a Grapple might be in my future.
-Assist in building a bridge over my creek.
-other odds and ends around my 14 acres.
The property is about 4 acres woods, 4 acres hay field, 1.2acres pond, rest is my lawn around the house and barn.
I do have about 100 white pine trees around the house. The farmer next door take care of the hay.
see my last post on the property.
Don't know what I might try to lift someday.
I agree with the pedals being wrong on the ck and l3800.
I guess I have to just set the cruise and imagine that I am back on my L2550.
The brakes are on the right on it also.
The DK seemed to have a very limited turning radius without braking.
I have seen the inside of a Kubota 4wd front end and assume it is similar to a Kioti. I don't understand why they don't make them with more turn to the tires. If that makes since.
On a truck you have CV's or u-joints that bind. On the tractors they really don't bind...right?
