KIOTI KB 2365 backhoe

Have owned my CK20 HST for some three weeks now. Really enjoy the equipment. Zero problems so far. Now I go shopping for the toys. Stopped by the dealer today to check out the KB2365 backhoe and get a price. He kind of guided me to a SMC 65-A unit instead, saying he was having problems with the KIOTI 2365's. Can anyone give me some input???

I believe SMC and Rhino backhoes are the same hoes.
I have a Rhino 85 backhoe that I really like.
The 65 a should work out just fine.

My biggest concern about the SMC hoe is the difference in cost vs. KIOTI. Two plus k is a lot of difference when you are looking to add more toys to the toybox. I was told that the KIOTI 2365 hoe has problems with the seals blowing out and locking up at mid hight. My dealer told me that other New England dealers have hoes that they bought back and replaced with SMC units and others. I have developed a lot of faith in Kioti quality in three weeks would assume that it would carry through to the hoe. Any ideas on what may be a fair price for the 2365 ???

Kioti previously used Rhino as the Mfg. for their backhoes.
They just went to the new 2300 series backhoes this year.
I know very little about the new series backhoes that they are using now (never saw one).
Hard to believe there is 2 K differance in price between these backhoes.
Are you saying the SMC is $2,000 more ?
Why ?
What prices were you given ?

Pricing as of today was approx. $ 5200 for the 2365 and $7200 for the SMC. I am looking for a reliable unit but really do not want to have to modify the mount system to make it fit my CK20.

$7200 for an SMC 65a is way, way high.
Around $2000 to high in my opinion, unless prices took a serious increase over the last year or so, and I know they didn't go up that much !! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
Do you have a Rhino dealer nearby, maybe you can get a Rhino backhoe from a differant dealer.

You have the right idea here.
You want a backhoe with a subframe, not a 3 point hoe.

I have a KB2365, and have been using the heck out of it digging stumps, trees, and many other BH projects with absolutely no problem.
The MSRP on the 2365 was $4600 in January, and from what I know the prices have not increased. I paid $4300 for mine when I bought the CK20HST.
I'd find another dealer as this one is gouging. John

We are a Rhino dealer and they do make mounts for the CK20's now, that SMC price is way high. I would shop around some.
