I just got off the phone with Tractorjoe's. They sell a key for my dk 40. Price is $1.17, when I asked how much is shipping, the guy laughed and told me $20.53. He said don't blame me, I just work here. I told him to tell his boss to shove it!
Same company shipped me a counterfeit hst no-name filter when they advertised oem parts.

I ordered a replacement microphone cable for a Yaesu 2way radio off of e-bay that came from China.. Yes China, and the shipping was less than $5. So how does that work?

I order 4 toggle clamps from China for $12 free shipping and were better quality than the ones I paid $20 each for here and received a $5 off coupon my next order.

I know some shipping companies like UPS have special offerings for retailers. You get only one type of shipping and for some reason its expensive. There are a few time I've found what I'm looking for only to find out it was "slow ground" which can take up to 10 days. On top of that it was something like $20.

No-way can $20.53, the cheapest shipping option, be justified for 1 key!

Mail them a prepaid US Mail envelope with your order and payment.

Good idea, I like that, but they' never accept it.

I had luck with one company ( not tractor related) when they wanted $25.00 to send me a.10 plastic part that was as small as a nickel.

This is the same scam as you see on all those TV ads for $19.99 gadgets. But wait! if you order now we'll send you a second one absolutely free, just pay shipping and handling. And for what they charge for shipping and handling you could build a dozen whatever kind of widget they're peddling.
I guess there must be a lot of fools who take them up on it because they aren't dying off. If it didn't pay they wouldn't be able to stay in business. Then again, looking at Washington and the current election I suppose that's evidence enough that we have no shortage of fools in this country.

I had an identical filter experience with them and will never purchase from that firm again. That said, the HST filter is working okay as far as I know.

Nice to have a forum like this to protect the consumer against unscrupulous dealers. Let all be warned about Tractorjoe.

Government of China made China Post (mail) ridiculously cheap for exporters. Then after postage is paid there, US Mail delivers on this end without additional charge.

This works pretty well for them. It keeps down the cost of Chinese goods delivered overseas.

The Donald will fix that.

There is an additional charge -- under the current international postal treaties, countries that exchange more than 150 tons of mail charge "terminal dues" based on the difference in mail volumes sent and received.

The U.S. has been losing money on this since 2010, and probably won't return to black for a few more years because the time it takes to adjust the terminal dues.

Trying to work around the universal treaty rates to reduce our costs, the USPS has "ePacket" rates that are co-branded with China Post; if I understand them correctly China Post sorts and bundles the ePackets to ship directly to the US distribution center they need to go, instead of it arriving here and the USPS having to sort it and re-ship it.
