I just picked up a CK2610 HST yesterday from my local dealer. It had KL4030C loader with a 66" bucket. He told me it was the same as the KL4030, the C just referred to where it was made.

After getting it home I found on this site that the C model is the one made for the Canadian market. According to the Kioti website, the specs are similar but slightly different. The significant differences I found are:

KL4030C:
Lift Capacity at 59 in: 1,969 lbs.
Bucket Rollback Force at Ground Line: 2,758 lbs.
Breakout Force @ Pivot Pins: 2,989 lbs
Reach At Maximum Lift Height: 11.3 in.

KL4030:
Lift Capacity at 59 in: 1,835 lbs.
Bucket Rollback Force at Ground Line: 1,764 lbs.
Breakout Force @ Pivot Pins: 3,464 lbs
Reach At Maximum Lift Height: 27.2 in.

So my loader has a greater lift capacity, but less breakout force, which seems odd to me, but I can see maybe a different geometry could have that effect. Is one better than the other?

Also, how is my rollback so much greater, different cylinders, or is that a typo?

What is reach at max lift?

Did I get an upgrade, down grade, or break even with this Canadian loader?

My wife and I bought a 2022 CK4010SE that was delivered last week. It came with the 4030C loader too and I saw the spec differences and was wondering if it was a new spec for 2022 or something.

I talked to my dealer this morning and he wasn't really aware of the differences in the specs. He said the reason some tractors are being sold with the C loader is because of supply chain issues. He said he would try to find out more about it and get back to me.

I did notice that in the manual it shows the reach at max height is measured from bucket lip at full dump to front edge of the grill guard. On the standard loader brochure I found online it looked like it was measured to the front of the hood. I measured mine last night and it was 18 in to the front of the hood, vs 27 in for the standard loader.

So if the rollback rating is accurate, it seems like the Canadian version would be better suited for digging, and the standard US version would be better for loading a trailer or small dump truck. My only other concern would be potential parts availability with a non US model.

Interesting. I'd like to know what he comes back with. Thanks for sharing.

Still no information from my dealer. One thing I'm wondering is if the standard 4030 reach spec is measured at full dump or bucket flat. Is there anyone with a CK2610 and KL4030 that would be able to measure from the front of the grill guard to the front edge of the bucket at full height full dump?

So far yes I like it and it works good. But if I ended up with loader with a significant disadvantage in capability I'd like to know so that I can possibly swap it out. Just yesterday I unloaded a new box blade from the back of my truck using my old Massey 240 with a 232 loader using a chain on my bucket hooks. Don't know the reach spec of the 232 is but I do know that if it was 9" shorter I wouldn't have been able to reach the box blade.

I emailed Kioti directly to see if they can answer our questions. I will let you know if I hear back from them.

I got a response within minutes from Kioti on this, so that was cool. Here is what they said:

Thank you for contacting KIOTI. The KL4030 is manufactured by Sindong and the KL4030C is manufactured by Taesung. Sindong could not keep up with our demand on their own which is why Taesung is making the KL4030C. KIOTI considers these loaders interchangeable. Other than the slight differences in specs noted on the spec sheet. The lift capacity is slightly higher on the KL4030C, but the breakout force is a little less. The KL4030C does have a higher bucket rollback force at 2,758lbs. There should be basically very little to no noticeable difference in operation between the two loaders.

Well that's cool they responded so quickly, where did you find their email address? I would like to clarify with them if the reach spec is measured from the front of the grill guard to dumped bucket edge on both loaders. Most other loaders I've looked at typically have a reach spec of around 20 inches.

It's nice that they confirmed that the specs are accurate; I was wondering if the extra rollback force on the C model was a typo because it is so much higher. I suppose this backs up my original opinion that the standard model may be better suited if you'll be loading a trailer or dump bed, but the C model may be better suited for digging or just picking up heavy bucket loads.

I've talked to a couple other dealers and so far everyone of them has basically said they didn't think I'd ever notice a a difference or be more limited with either one, which is probably true, but my recent experience unloading my box blade had me re-evaluating the limitations with a reduced reach.

I found it on the Kioti website. In the contact us section, they have a customer service feature that I used. Give it a try, they will probably give you the specific answer to your question. For category, I clicked Technical Service and got a response really quick.

So I emailed Kioti and asked if the reach was measured from a different place on the two loader models, and they responded that they are both measured from the same place. So that would mean there really is a 16" difference in the reach. I did notice on the specs for the older KL2610 loader the reach is also 11.3" and looking at pictures of it the loader arms and mounting brackets look identical. I'm guessing they hired the manufacturer of the KL2610 to make the KL4030C with larger cylinders and possibly stronger loader arms.

I think you might be right. It probably is a beefed up KL2610. I would guess that the "C" in 4030 then stands for Curved. Just a guess, but the top arms on mine are curved and shaped exactly like the KL2610.

I have a ck3510 with a 4030c loader.. my QT failed a week prior to getting my recall letter and then it took three months to get parts and the new one lasted a half hour! The 4030c is in no way comparable to the 4030 in quality and durability.. plus kioti does not stand behind it. The 4030c is built very cheesy and literally tears it’s self apart. Kioti knows this is going on but they are doing nothing to take care of this issue

That is the first I have heard of the 4030C model having issues like that. Have you heard from other owners that have experienced similar issues?

The 4030c is made by a different manufacturer than the 4030 and is in no way built to the standards of the 4030. Kioti is well aware of whats going on with these units. Mine is just one of many that’s why they recalled them ro try and stiffen up QT before more get torn off. So desperate to sell tractors they outsourced loaders..

Can you provide a link or where we can find information on the recall you are talking about? I searched and do not see anything about a recall on the 4030c loader. What is in the recall letter? What specifically are they replacing?

Interesting comparison! 9" of less loader reach is kind of a big deal - if you have to load a truck or trailer. Otherwise probably not much functional difference day-to-day. Unless your "Taesung" 4030C falls apart, that is.

My 2019 sindong 4030 is terrific, but is a little more flexible and loose than I might prefer (still have to install my hydraulic valve to cure the floppy bucket situation). Even with my backhoe on, the 4030 will pick up enough to lift the rear, if you try it. Over a face cord of wet oak in a crate, down a hill yesterday... puckered right up.
