Kioti lk3054 steering column

Hey everyone, I have oil leaking from my steering column. I looking for some some clarification on what parts are typically replaced when this happens. I assume there's a bushing worn bushing causing play and a seal. I've also seen a few people mention an o-ring. I'm also looking for a reliable exploded diagram, I've looked but any links I find in forums have been dead ends and my dealer is less than helpful. It looks like the LK3054, LK2554, and LK3504 share the same steering column. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

I replaced the bushing and seal on my LK2554 but don't remember if I did a write up on it or not.

It is not that bad of a job. Toughest part as I remember was removing the steering wheel. That was several years ago now and have not had any leaks to date.

Have you looked it up on MIE's parts finder?

Bingo! Thanks for the link. I searched the site for an lk3054 and it seemed to be missing a few components that i thought were in there. So then i searched for the lk2554 and it brought up a more in depth diagram with all the parts i need. Thanks again.

So, I ended up crossing the bushing and upper seal to a kubota number and ordered from my local kubota dealer. The lower seal, p/n 23451-03113 number 15 on the kioti diagrams was ordered from a kioti dealer. I went to install it today but it doesnt fit down the into the gearbox where the column threads together, and it doesnt fit around the threads. Does anyone have experience with this seal or have the Nok p/n I can reference to this one? It was ordered off the diagram, I feel like it should be used.

I ordered mine from a friend that owned a Kioti dealer back then. However I only replaced the bushing and upper seal and it fixed my leak. I did not go in after the lower seal.

I probably should have done what you did, now I have to get to the bottom of this. What I found odd was that I never removed a seal from the lower section, so I cant actually tell what the diagram is trying to show. Is there supposed to be oil in the column tube up to the upper seal? If that's the case I just need to seal the threads.

I know there is be oil up to the upper seal on mine. Without the upper seal oil would shoot out.

I don't think you can get to the bottom seal without unbolting the column base. But never went that deep on mine.

Ok, at least I know oil should be up that high. I'm just going to seal these threads up and put it back together. Unfortunately the seal that doesnt fit was $50

I am think it will fit, just would install from the bottom. Best I can tell anyway. Lol

Had the same issue with my 3504. Oil leaking out the top of the shaft. Got it apart and no bushing was found, only a seal. None shown in the manual either. Installed the new seal only, and 2 months later, its leaking again. I think a bushing near the top is required....
