I looked in with a mirror the best I could and I see the round piece that the sol arm controls. It looks like its plastic, anyhow that slides in and out easily. Is that what your talking about? For some reason I think I'm missing something. Also what does the small spring loaded lever on top of pump do? I see the other end of it right above the sol. Like I said I'm not a diesel mech.

I’m new to this post. I have a 2005 CK25 HST, had the same problem maybe 7 years ago it turned out to be broken teeth on all three I’ll call them gears In the fuel injector pump. We took it apart and turned the ( gears ) 180 degrees all better after that. At the time a new pump was 1200$👎🏻
we found a detailed how to on line with pictures it doesn’t get better then that! Picture enclosed of my setup!hope it helps! 4AA01AE3-886E-4862-B343-9AF863E2D746.jpeg

The lever is a manual shut off..
U could put your drift on the rack and operate the manual shut off and feel if the rack goes to s/o..

So what is the small round piece that I can move in and out, looks like a washer that the sol arm hits. That's the only thing that moved when I put my pick in there. If I put the pin in and it pushes the small piece back in then operate the manual shut-off, what should I feel or see?

Rest your drift or pick on the washer and operate the manual shut off, u should feel the drift move in the opposite direction..
Your just try to tell if the rack moves or not..
It’s not that complicated..

So by that you mean the the movement I need to do is up and down not just pushing in and out. Also I have a cheaper inspection cam, shows you how much I use it, forgot about it. That said, would that be helpful in any way to maybe get a peak inside. Like I said it's only a 60.00 unit so it works but not very high tech. I'll have to do it tomorrow, by the way, Happy fourth to all. This country needs it's moxie back.

Idk where u get the idea of it moving up and down.??
The pump/engine control rack moves in and out.. SIDEWAYS..
Go to utube and watch a couple of videos of people working on Kubota tractors,
primarily on the injection pump..

Here is a link which will help explain things.

Late to the party, but have all the safety switches been twiddled? Especially the mid-point PTO which is foot operated?

Well I verified the rack wasn't moving, took pump off and found one broken tooth on the left gear. That being said, I can't turn it a complete 180 without lining up with the area on the gear that is toothless. I turned the gear slightly left and it slid in, hopefully just past the blank area. Now I also have to follow that up with the plunger, which also will have a left tilt to it. Followed up with making the other two the same. The gear came out at 12 o'clock, the plungers channel was left. I put it back together and I can move the rack and gears smoothly. I'm wondering if I can get away with this repair or does the plunger have to go back to 12 o'clock where it was? The gears and plungers are at 11 o'clock now with the channel left. I don't know if they have to go in exactly like they came out, meaning the plungers. I won't put pump in until I hear from you guys first. Thanks guys

I don’t know why you can’t turn it 180. I had several broken teeth on each gear I believe we went 180! Keep us posted. I’ll try to find that website I mentioned in last post!☮️✌🏻

I can turn it 180 but when I do it lands right on the small void on the gear, so teeth on rack don't meet up with any teeth on gear because there isn't any. All three gears were the same, teeth don't go all the way around the gear. There is a small void on all of them, made that way but why? The only way I could get the gear and rake to meet, was to offset gear and plunger from 12 o'clock to 11 o'clock. The rack and gears now move smooth and in sync. Again I need to know if this will work or do I have to put everything back to 12 o'clock? I would somehow have to come up with new gears.

If you looked at that web site and can’t do the 180 than I have no answer for you. Sorry, except get a new gear
( one) of buy all three as long as you have it all apart!☮️✌🏻

Does anybody know where I can purchase these gears because I would change them all out.

Nix that, I bought rebuild kit from moose diesel and going to replace all three and be done with it. According to them, they are stronger than original part. Well that wouldn't take much. 144 bucks with shipping.

Glad to hear you found the issue. Now you just have to put it all back together. We're rooting for you.
