I think it is fine to cut and paste from a customer service boilerplate letter. Those things are written for public consumption. Very very different than posting something from a PM. It might be different if it were on a specific individual case but this was in fact Kioti's public stance (version 2.1).
I am also glad they have finally released such a statement and agree with those who argue that this whole bruhaha would never have happened if they had issued exactly that statement two months ago. Glad to see they have dropped the baloney about cosmetic cracks too.
Maybe Kioti has learned a PR lession about living in the internet era from this episode and will be a tad more responsive in the future.
