Kioti Tractor stalling

Hmm, over rev-ing. I wonder if the FIL was grubbing. I would check the under carriage closely to see if anything is un-plugged, or that a stick is not jammed against some linkage or wiring.
I was hoping Wallace would jump in here, he is darned good at internet trouble shooting..........

It sounds like a fuel issue....
CK fuel filter first as that is the cheapest thing to do.
Also check fuel for water, dirt, etc....

The engine reving high..... could mean a injector is giving problems.

NY_Kioti_sales: Heard from older bro a few minutes ago and he said the dealer from whom he purchased the tractor believes its the injector pump giving problems. The dealer said he'd do everything he can in his power to get it covered under warranty. Bro asked what may have caused the problem with the injector pump and his answer was moisture in the fuel may have caused pitting causing it to stick closed and then stick open. Does this make sense to you? Do you know of an additive that he can put in the fuel tank once it's running again to prevent future happenings again? Thanks for the help. Roger

Has he pulled the fuel filter yet? Before i started messing with the IP i would definatly check the filter first. A red bottle of Power Service 911 will take care of any water in the tank.

Again, please do things in order. Start with the simple things then progress. Injectors or injection pump should be the last thing to check.

Check your fuel filter! Why would you want to possibly damage a new part if you have bad fuel with water in it?

What you said makes some sense, but I would want to actually check it over before just saying thats the problem on the phone. This can take time and still not solve your issue if you have fuel with water in it.

Whoa... Go easy on him.

I would agree to start slow however he is getting a lot of idea's thown at him and may not know where to start...

Someone want to start a list in order such as (don't use this, it's only an example)

Look in tank (with flashlight) to search for dirt or other items
Check for cracked fuel bowl
Add A red bottle of Power Service 911
Check Fuel Filter
Drain fuel and add new
and on and on...

:) remember, they are under stress right now.

sorry had to play the other side. :D

I hate to state the obvious, but I'm thinking 74 hours = dealer fix for free under warranty, otherwise why buy new?

Maybe I'm missing something but I've seen a number of posts with guys trying to fix new machines on their own and I don't understand why?

Lots of smart people on this forum so there must be something I'm missing?

I think the reason some are trying to fix on their own is that is most cases, having warranty work performed by the dealer will take their tractor out of service for days (depending on shop) and most owners will have to provide their own transport (of which some may not have, only adding to the cost).

Now add in the wealth of information from the best tractor troubleshooters on the net, and I have a feeling that some are driven with the thought that if they can fix in a few hours with help from those here, they will be back in the seat much quicker and for much cheaper. IMO

For me, no brainer and I am with you, I would call my dealer and let him know. He will come pick up my tractor and return it at no cost to me. I don't suspect all dealers do this and I am sure it helps only being 4 miles from the shop also.

I am not trying to brag or add insult, and hopefully the experts here will have him back up and running soon. I agree with Joel and would further add that you want to make sure you don't void your warranty by doing something that your not supposed to.

Good point rob.
Have you changed your fuel filter already and then this problem started?
If so, you didn't bleed the air correctly.
