Knock in IH 574 diesel engine

I ran my tractor low on oil and I now have a beautiful knock in the engine. I dropped the oil pan, and there was no parts in the oil. How can I find out which bearing is bad?

Is the damage from the bearings or the balancer unit???

Only proper way to check is to break each bearing and inspect the shells and journals, no4 is furthest from the oil supply and probably runs the hottest !!
