I have the deere. I have had my fair share of issues all of which are resolved. I don't think the deere and Kubota are a fair comparison though. The deere is a utility tractor while I think the kubotas would be considered a large compact. I don't know of any utility tractors with the hst option. We have the 12/12 power reverser and really like it for what we do. The hst would be handy for some tasks but we love the size and grunt of the Deere. The h240 is a monster too. One thing to think about would be on the loader getting the skid steer quick attach over the 500 series or global carrier system. I have the global and while it's easy, there are not many attachments out there for it unless you get the big stuff. I just bought an adapter system so I can retain the global but also have ssqa stuff too but it's high dollar.
Go to each dealer and test drive. See what you think.

I agree with Rusty ... these tractors are not directly comparable. The MX tractors you are looking at are "CUT's" (compact utility tractors) and the JD you are comparing is a "UT" (utility tractor), though, on the small side of the UT scale. The MX tractors you listed are HST (hydrostatic) vs the JD which is gear. Those transmission options carry pros & cons, depending on your tasks.
