Kubota 900 RTV

Gary,
I had one in my 9 but really never used it.
My 11 goes 27mph tops and I never look at it either.
They are like tractors, so a speedo is just not a big deal.

I agree. I have one on mine and never look at it. Use the money for something else.

I would say that the professionally applied bedliner is going to be a superior product but for use on the floorboard I think that the Herculiner will be fine. My decision was based on logistics and cost. To transport the RTV somewhere to have just the floorboard sprayed didn't make economic sense. If how hard it was to remove from my skin was any indication I think the Herculiner will last a long, long time!:D

Agree with previous poster about speedo not really nessasary but if you want one very easy to install, just plug in.

Thanks guys. Herculiner to the floorboards will be one of my chores and no speedo. Any other suggestions for improvements to the 900? Simple only please. I dont plan to go building a new stainless steel dump bed to look like a dump truck on it like one guy here did. It already has a stainless steel brush guard on the back window that replaced the screen. Back screen came with the RTV as seen laying in the back bed in the photo. It also looks like the previous owner put in a rubber mat (I have only seen these photos) I would think that the spray in bed liner would be on the whole bed like a pickup truck and this photo plainly shows something pinned all the way around and slightly muddy looking. I think he may have put in a rubber mat over the top of the sprayed liner to protect from dents.

Well after reviewing the photos for the umpteenth time, I see one thing I will for sure be putting on ASAP and that is some rear view mirrors. I have severe limited motion in my neck thanks to 3 cervical surgeries and cant turn my head enough to see behind me. I think 3 mirrors would do the trick just like on my Pickup. Now just where to find them. Anyone got a source 9cheap preferalbly)for them that would bolt on, and fold back like truck / tractor mirrors and I would also want to put a center cab mirror up.

Gary - I have an RTV900 and love it... I'm sure you will love yours too. One thing that may be of interest to you is a High Air Intake kit. The standard air filter is located under the bed in an area that gets a lot of dust. The kit lets you add piping to a point above the bed, which helps eliminate clogged air filter problems. The following link will take you to an RTV owners forum that has a lot fo good ideas. Scroll back through the posts and I'm sure you will find some info on the air filter kit.

That is probably the case, but there may be another benefit. In another thread, a poster complained about the noise of his RTV. Someone replied that adding a rubber stall mat reduced the noise.

I added a velcro wide-angle mirror right on the bar to the drivers side roll cage.

I have been reading all the post on here about Kubota RTV and it seems that back in 09 or so, lots of folks had problems with the servo pressure adjustment not set right from the factory and dealers not able or wanting to do anything to fix the problem. Any one dealt with this lately? Have any of you had to deal with lack of power(ability to spin tires in Low range) and having to adjust this servo setting. Looks like the one service tech that was addressing the problems went dormant in Oct 09 and no more post since.

Gary,

I'd just run it around for a while and see what you think...It may run just fine for you. My 1100 does great and I've adjusted nothing.

The 500 was a totally different story.
