Rock..............you missed your calling...............viz., a Test Pilot. Kubota should use your B2650 working experience as an advertisement for the limits of durability.k:laughing:
Cheers,

The technical term is 敵eorgia over drive? 🤠
Funny coming from someone from a state that is the quintessential brunt of so many hillbilly engineering jokes...:D

I didn't buy it to save it for the next owner like 90% if the so called tractor operators here. When I buy a truck, Jeep, v tractor, whatever... I consider it a life sentence for the object. When I'm done.... It's dead.

I have not looked at the transmission design to see if what happened to me could happen with this tractor but back when I drove truck I had a hill that was gentle and for the sake of it I wanted to see if the truck would coast the three miles to town. About 2 miles down and still about fifty mph the truck suddenly locked up the rear wheels! I did what I could to relieve it by depressing the clutch allowing it to coast again. What I found out that in neutral the lower shafts did not spin and only the main shaft spun which was above the oil level. Some how it had welded itself and moved the gears so it was in third gear! After paying for that error I have not coasted in neutral.

Yes, it's smooth and it doesn't even gone at bouncing or anything at all that indicates that you couldn't go faster. When I first did it I was a bit spooked and was ready for a near death experience. Now I roll down the mountain side with one hand on the steering wheel and the other holding a cold Corona up to my mouth

Kidding on the beer part. But it honestly rides and handles about as good as my Wrangler JK.

Now that is how a real man lives! Don't pay any attention to the safety sissies, what has happened to all the real men in America for Christ's sake!
There are three rules for doing fun/dangerous things 1:Look good. 2:Don't die. 3:If you are going to die, look good.

I've heard that some farmers with the 8N fords have overdrive transmissions that will run in the 40 MPH range. Makes for a quicker ride to town for groceries.
I recall hearing, as a kid back in the fifties, the story of a fella on a Model D John Deere disengaging the clutch on a long down hill and was making really good time until seeing the HP behind.
Quickly reengaged the clutch and promptly locked up the two cylinder . :)

Another funny was years ago a friend was in neutral downhill only it was in winter, below freezing with water (ice) in tires!
He never found his false teeth.

I'd be hesitant to do what you have done. These things are really engineered for top speeds and all sorts of thresholds that are certified and tested.

Your on the other end of the engineering spectrum. You know the old saying "Just because you can, does not mean you should".

I think another poster also summed it up under time savings. It really is not that much.

I'd think twice about doing that...your safety and tractor wasn't design for such speed.
