Kubota B2710, R4 Tire conversion questions

I have a 2000 year B2710 that came with R3 Turfs. It currently has Firestone field and turf 13.6-16 "on 10" rim" stamped on tire and the best I can tell the rims are 10" Wide. The rear rims themselves have Titan 16W X 10L stamped in them. The fronts are 23 X 8.50-12. I have went to 2 different Kubota dealers and they think I'm crazy for wanting to change them out and say it will be very expensive. They also tell me that I will have to buy new rims as well. Well, I would like to change the fronts to 23 X 8.50-14's anyway. Do I have to change the rear rims? My owners manual says that if my tractor came with R4's then the size would have been 12.4-16 but does not say what rim width they would have been. I don't mind spending the money and I want R4's but I also want to order the correct rims if needed. The dealers don't seem to want to research this info. for me and both have tried to discourage me. I also am having a hard time finding a 12.4-16 R4. Any suggestions, help?

To my knowledge, you would have to replace tires and rims. It might be a good idea to put an ad on Craighlist looking for someone who has the tires and rims you are looking for and wants what you have.
Also, never mix and match front and rear tires/rims. The tire/rim size is matched to maintain proper gear ratios in the front and rear.

You can run any size tire and rim....
BUT you must keep front to rear ratio the same as the factory.

You can have AG's on the rear with turfs up front, or any combination... BUT you must consider the ROLLING CIRCUMFERENCE.
While you are researching tires and rims, be sure to make note of that.
All tire manufactures have the information available, just takes a little basic math, you can go over size or under. Keep the ratio (lead/lag) correct.

You are apt to get a much better deal buying tires with rims, check if you have an industrial or agra tire dealer near you, they can figure out what you need and come up with a good price. Also like Jim said, watch for deals on used, they come up all the time... KennyV

Tires; B2710, B2910

Farm, (Ag)
Front, 7-12 (4PR) 24 PSI
Rear, 12.4-16 (4PR) 16 PSI

Turf, (R3)
Front, 23X8.50-12 (4PR) 22 PSI
Rear, 13.6-16 (4PR) 14 PSI

Industrial, (R4)
Front, 23X8.50-14 Ind. 35 PSI
Rear, 12.4-16 Ind. (4PR) 20 PSI
