Kubota B3350 tractor regeneration problems

There are wide spread issues with the reformer on the B3350 and F3990. The issue has gotten all the attention possible and will be resolved. No need to jump up and down about it for attention, everyone knows and its being handled.

Don't know how much of an upgrade this is; confused

Trading 21pto hp for 19ptp hp?

Sent from my iPhone 5s 64Gb using TractorByNet

The 2650 is a bigger tractor (size of old B3200), bigger tires, position control, nicer seat, nicer pedal arrangement, telescoping stabilizers, and a few other things make it a considerable upgrade from a B2920 to me (I used to own a 2920). True, if you need the full PTO power there is a slight drop. But models like the 2920 can't exist in the Tier IV Final world, so you either have to deal with 26HP and below, or accept the emissions claptrap.

I don't think it's a case of attracting attention.....seems some dealers are either in the dark or not being very up front with new owners regarding this issue.....because not "everyone" seems to be aware, contrary to the above

Thank you for supplying the info that there is an issue and K is aware and resolving.

So happy I bought the 2650 and saved money to boot .

That's the other thing -- it's a huge $$ jump from the 2650 to the 3350, a lot more than I'd value for 7HP (all else equal, which it is).

I agree with this, I wonder "if' a new unaware buyer will be told about this issue when he/she is in the market and their told, " don't worry, it's being handled'.

It seems to me that these pollution control devices on the diesels are for the birds. I spoke with a town worker plowing roads this past weekend. He told me that the town's new $200,000 truck won't start if left in the cold for more than 10 minutes. It has to be kept warm in a heated garage.

I had a terrible experience with a 2008 Doge Ram and all the emissions stuff. No more DPF's for me for a while. I bought 3 new Kubota's since 2013 . I got everything that I might need for the next few years and won't have to deal with the final tier 4 emissions equipment.

If it regens or has a blue (DEF) fuel cap, I don't want it. If it regens and works right, at some point the DPF will fill and the cannister has to be changed out (at who knows what cost) anyway.

I have 2 pre tier 4 large frame big power Kubota's and I'll keep them. If I loose an engine, I'll put in a new engine. You can keep the Tier 4 crap.

We run over 100 Class 8 diesel trucks, half are Tier 4 final and that half are constant problems. It's too much rechnology, too fast with unreliable electronics from the lowest bidder.

Far as I'm concerned, the only good use for DEF is fertilizing hay fields, I spray it on regularly....

You know, its a shame when you hear these stories,
Kubota better get their act together soon, or some folks will be changing colors when thinking on purchasing a new machine, I know I would certainly give it some serious thought.
Dealers shouldn't sell these machines if they know there's a recall or fix for them.

Color don't matter. they are all having issues. Tree huggers are happy, owners aren't.

If it don't smoke, I don't want it.
