Machine also has the 3 point hitch. Also machnie has had every service done on it and looks to be treated like a baby. Any issue that you have run in to with the machine? Are you happy with it? Any thing I should look for?
Just use caution when backing up. Use slow speed and easy off the pedel. It's not sports car, just a little tractor that will work as hard as the big boys. Very pleased with mine. I have just added a 60" blower on the 3 point hitch and it just melts the snow away.
only issue really is the reverse stop issue on it.
other little issues that shouldnt stop buying it is:
- you might want to check with dealer if the BX has the corrected floorboard issue
- make sure the BX has the newer seat.
Other then that, its a pretty good and solid machine.
price is a tad high IF it without the 3 pt blade, otherwise its a average price for the BX24. It really varies from region to region.
It does have the updated floor board and the seat. I live in newengland and have been trying to find one lower in price. But everything I come accross has tons of hours on them. I thought this was a good buy due to the low hours. What kind of issues is there with the reverse.
The BX24 is the 50 series in BX. Just about every owner of 50 series has experienced a jerky stop. Its more noticable when its warmer outside and in high gear going in reverse. Try using the search function here on TBN, there are countless threads on this. Have you noticed that the 50 series has mostly plastic and 60 series metal hood/fender? Its not a problem per se, but something to be aware of. Some people literally traded in for the 50 for 60 series becuase of reverse or plastic issue. Just don't let it scare you, I have the BX24 and LOVE it. I am annoyed with reverse but have trained myself to deal with it, but am afriad of possible issues of getting hurt in future.
Do any of you guys have any sugestions on lighting for rear backhoe opperation? I just bought the machine and am getting everything in place for when it arrives.

Ill sell you my bx24 -already have front and rear kubota work lights , no rear blade, upgraded seat only 72 hours Im the original owner used mostly for snow removal
Look under the tractor and see that all of the HSt cooling fan blades are intact. See if it has a skid plate to protect that fan. Having the fan blades snap off when driving over small sticks a common problem on the BX24. A dealer repair to move the engine to replace the ~$13 fan will cost upwards of $400. I think they charge 5 hours of shop time.
Cubowner,
I have A BX22 & added Quick-On Work Light Kit 3-6" for nighttime operation. I CAN tell you that they are great! Trying to work at night without adding lights isn't the smartest thing I've ever done, adding them was. :licking: I also had to replace the obnoxious little HST fan. At the same time I installed http://www.bro-tek.biz/skid_plates/ rear plate. No troubles since.
T-Man.
I used a magnetic mounted worklight on my BX and thought it worked very well. I got it from Northern tools for about $25. It would stick to the rops with a pretty strong magnet and I could easily adjust it in any direction from the seat. The magnet was strong enough that I never had any troubles with it coming off. It had a cigarette lighter plug so I would just plug it in the socket when i wanted to use it, and unplug it when I was done.
