Kubota dealer is really starting to piss me off

Same problem here, our county has over 3 million people. We have 1 Kubota-New Holland dealer, the only dealer that has more than 3 or 4 tractors on the lot and they push Kubota. 1 Massey- Cub dealer that has not had a tractor on his lot in years. :( 1 John Deere-Massey dealer that usually has 1-2 Deeres and 1-2 Masseys. 1 Deere dealer that has anywhere from 0-3 tractors at a time, usually just 1 or 2. I think that there is a guy that works out of his garage that can order you a TYM. Other than that and your driving a couple of hours to get to the next closest dealer and to get to the types of dealers that so many of you guys talk about is a 5-6 hour drive.

You guys that have multiple dealers and of the same make of tractor don't know how lucky you are. What sort of gets me  is that so many of you that have this luxury don't even live in highly populated areas. How in the world do these guys stay in business? :confused3:

We're in farm/horse/cottage country, about 45 minutes from the nearest small city, and have four Kubota dealers within an hour's drive to choose from. The folks we bought from and have dealt with, Nova International, is about a 10 minute drive from us.

The population density is pretty low here, which I think is why the dealers survive. There's enough people that NEED tractors to maintain their properties to keep the small dealers busy. There's 3 New Holland dealers within an hour drive, 2 Deere dealers, and a single each Kioti, Bobcat, Branson, Mahindra and Case dealer in the mix too. Total of 14 dealerships... I hadn't counted before but that IS a lot for a small area.

I guess we're lucky in at least two ways, one being that we can choose who we want to deal with, and secondly with that much competition pencils stay sharp on pricing.

Yeah we have one in corsciana, palestine, crockett, and the one i got mine from normangee who has atleast 60 tractors if not more at all times. All of these dealers are less than 50miles. In the same area have also 2 mahindra,2 john deere,2 massey, 2 new holland dealers,1 koiti and 1 McCormick ,had a case but they are selling kubotas now, mite have one case tractor.

And the thing is, it's not like we don't have any AG business here. There is over $1.2 billion in annual sales. Seems like that would support a few more dealers, but I guess not. :confused3: So you guys that have a good selection of dealers to choose from, be thankful that you do. ;)

You may be on to something here. I hope not, but possibly.

By the way Powerstroke, not to get off the subject, but what size box blade should I buy for the B26? I know you have one, and was just wondering if it could handle a 65" Frontier that weighs about 500 lbs?

I have a 60" and it handles it fine but I have mine weight down heavy with the foam in the tires just depends on the use. if the price is right go for it if not I would go with 54-60"

well i called the dealer today to try and get somewhere and i guess they have had the auger in stock for this entire time and did not realize it and said they would install it when it comes to the dealer for repair on the 4 point valve

Then i asked if the vavle was coming in soon and they told me "oh its been here for over a week, we told you that last week" which they did not, i would have had the tractor there the same day to get it fixed. when i talked to them last week they assured me the valve was on order and would be here soon. Not its in stock and come bring your tractor in for repairs............. So they are coming to get it tommorow so they can put the new vavle in and fix the 3 point hitch from being jerky. ( which we all know its not going to do) And they lied and said they called Kubota and that Kubota said it needs a new valve and then it wont be jerky, and they just ordered a stock L3800 standard valve just like the one i have now

Then i asked about the backhow which was supposed to take 7-10 days and its not gonna be here until 7-27 they said.

So i guess the saga contiunes and we shall see what happens over the next few weeks with the valve being repalced im sure they are going to have the tractor for at least another 10-12 days if not longer. so after that i will have had the tractor in my possesion a total of 8 days out of 45 days

I cant wait for the phone call saying , well we got the vavle in and its still jerky. we dont know what to do..........

As a busisness owner i would be horrifyed if my workers treated a customer this way, they would be fired on the spot if they gave people the run around like this and just told people what they wanted to hear to make a sale or shut a customer up. Everytime i call the dealer its like im a huge bother and why am i calling and i should go F my self. Well sorry guys i just spent 30k some customer service would be nice

I have my doubts that this will end well, although I hope it does. Hey did they ever cash the check? Anyway keep us posted, I really want to see how this turns out.

Don't know about the rest of you, but this appears to me that it would make a great TV series, comedy/drama? I can't for the life of me understand why a person would subject themselves to this abuse.:confused2: :confused2: :confused2: Must really want orange paint on the property. Here's hoping it gets resolved to your satisfaction.

This is like a soap opera. Either this whole thing is a big put-on or we're not getting the whole story. I just bought a new B3300SU from my dealer and if I had had 5% of the problems that you have had I would have walked away as fast as I could. You've essentially gotten really good advice from a dozen members now and yet you continue down the same path. What am I/we missing?

At this point I'd say you and the dealer deserve one another. This is a trainwreck where one just can't look away. I wish you the best but somehow 2 + 2 = 7 here.
