If you run a diesel engine too lean, temperatures spike and NOx emissions go through the roof. Just ask Volkswagen. They did that experiment, globally.

Yeah, just adjust the carburetor screws for a richer mixture, raise the float level, and/or clean out the main jets. :sneaky:

Make sure the throttle plate isn't sticking open. too. :unsure:

I mowed today with it after everything was put back together and it ran the coolest it’s ran in summer temps for a long time so I think it’s fixed.

I deal with over heating every day. My MF7495 and Pottinger hay mower gets hay chaff on the hood gills and the rads practically on the hour. Especially if the hay is dry and gone to seed.
It has air brakes and I often wonder about plumbing an air hose into it, put a coupler on end of hose and clicking in a long wand to blow out the rads.

Not a bad idea. How I used to blow out the cab of my truck.
