Kubota F series

I was told by a Kubota dealer that the beads on those tires are not as strong as the Chevron. I like you would prefer that atv tire, but the Kubota advice kind of in your face.
That is odd, those are the tires that Kubota uses on the RTV500/900/1100 if you order the "worksite" tires and weightwise, the F3680 should under 2000# (per Object reference not set to an instance of an object. which says that its 1600#, but that might be without a mower) and those tires are rated for at 945# each (per The Carlstar Group).
Here is a replacement RTV wheel/tire combo):

That tire is a bit different than the Carlisle ATV Trail II,but I asked specifically about the Trail II since I liked the thread pattern on it. AND, the Trail II came in the exact size for the F series. That trail II is more open thread pattern than this latter one you mentioned too.

The fronts might be HD FieldTrax (The Carlstar Group), but I think they are All Trail IIs.
I had the All Trail IIs on the back of a Toro Workman (might have had HD Field Trax on the front) and they took a lot more weight than they were rated for without complaining much.

John - Thanks for your info on spinning. I sent you a PM but I called Barlow's and they asked "what tires do you want?" Basically he said they sometimes but bar tires on the front and turfs on the rear. He said he'd talk to the guys there and figure out whether bars are good or bad for my situation on the 25* slopes.

Aaron - Thanks for the info on the alternate tires. Those look like they might be better than bar tires, if they will hold the weight? I know the dealer wont put them on, so maybe I start if turf tires and if I don't get the traction, I consider alternate tires.

I'm thinking I might be okay if I mow up and down on my dam, instead of side to side. Since I haven't been on an F, do you guys see any issues (tipping) with going up and down?

I don't and I've driven up one bank that feels almost straight up. The F 4wd has a differential lock pedal which I occasionally engage on the really steepest part and rarely if ever keep the "better/more traction" 4wd lever engaged. I also have to use the dif lock when I get some of the wheels off the ground in the ditches. Get the point guys that I use my F like it's a tractor for all terrain mowing and not for "lawn" care. I even mow a logging trail in the woods with mine. IT'S A KUBOTA!!!!!

Thanks John! Waiting to hear back from Barlow's and see what my wallet has to say about it.

I know I'm asking for a shaming for posting this but here we go.

I drove past the John Deere dealership this afternoon. Pulled in for the heck of it. Looked at an X758, diesel, 4wd, 60" deck, aggressive tire garden tractor. Yes, garden tractor. Looked it over, seemed okay. Comfy seat, MUCH better than the ZTR that I demo'ed from Kubota. $14,500. 0% for 60 months (F series are only 36 months) Said thanks and walked out.

Quick google search and youtube video and it looks like that mower can really climb if I want it to. ~2 mph slower on flat than an F, but I enjoy mowing, so, that isn't a concern of mine.

Now I really don't want anyone bashing another company. I accept facts and opinions but I also know some people are die hard Kubota owners and will only be Kubota owners. Same with me and General Motors. I'm also tied to Kubota very heavily, but I also have a budget to consider.

I'm starting to look at my current situation. My Grasshopper is 11 years old. Just rolled over 1,000hrs and has a Kubota engine. It should be good for another 1,000 hrs. Mower runs fine. Talked to the dealership, good relationship with the service manager, who, pointed out that my drive pumps are no longer available. Can't get 'em, can't really rebuild 'em. So, I'd be SOL if/when a pump dies.

Hate to end up in the same boat down the road by buying a big $ mower and then be SOL because of a part or two. At less than 100 hrs a year mowing, an F would last a lifetime.

So, that's what is bouncing around in my head. Again, don't shoot me because I looked at a JD. I still like the Orange.

Nothing wrong with John Deere for the most part. I've found they throw comparison products that are not on par with Kubota, not that they don't have models on par....but the price point has for me...always been well above Kubota.

I wanted to buy Green before i had bought the GR2120 i just traded for the F, and i did drive the X758 and the 5 series. Price up here in Canada was more then what i wanted to shell out at the time. Anyway,.....if slopes are a concern, forget about the X758, because i think the F is a whole lot more stable.
If you cant make up your mind, the only thing is to try both of them. On your property that is.

JCummings - I noticed the same thing, the comparisons are way off. I know JD to always be a little pricey but this is the same price as the Kubota Z326P that I was looking at. And the Z326 was a total failure.

I'm sure the F is more stable but with the X758 and "atv like" tires (only way I know how to describe them) and a $6k+ lesser price, worth at least giving a look over in my opinion.

Barlow's is still trying to get me a price. Based on that, it will determine whether an F is in my budget. I really would like an F, to keep Kubota's, but money talks in the end, unfortunately at this period in my life.

Either way, I'll probably try them both on my property in the next few weeks or less.
