kubota fuel tank to small

You should double check the connections for that, have not had that problem fill it to the top every time. There should be a ball valve on the bleader or a cap with a small hole in it. I know some of the early BXs had fuel tank leaking problems.

Mine was one of those early BXs and I did have the tank replaced. Even on the new tank, this will happen on a really steep slope. The way I discovered it actually was at the dealer after having it serviced. It was totally full and I slowly drove it onto the tilt bed trailer. After the bed pivoted and I started tie down, I noticed the left rear wheel and deck beneath it all soaked in fuel. I went right back in to the office, the svc. mgr. came out, he had mechanics look at it, they said it was the overflow valve functioning normally and that I had it too full for a steep slope.

Tom, my BX had the leaky sending unit, and it still leaked after the 1st repair. I pulled it out myself and reinstalled it - no more leaking. Now I can fill it to the top. Not to doubt your dealer, but I suspect they didn't install the fix just right. Maybe they replaced it before the real fix was released. It is a new attachment for the sending unit. The original one just pushed in (and fell out) The new one is attached with J-bolts and will not leak if installed right.

Thanks, I'll have to talk to them about that. Appreciate the input.

well my kubotas fuel tank is to small.everytime i work it for a few days it wants a drink of diesel.
1*i wish they would've put 20 gal tanks on them.
1*Then it would just cost more money to fill it up.;)

I hate lugging all the 5 gal jugs,
2*I want a barrel and pump,.
.

2*Something like this maybe!

Or this ?

3*Strap a 30 gal drum to the carryall with a switch operated 12vdc transfer pump piped to the fuel tank. When it gets low, flip the pump switch in the cab till the fuel gauge shows full. You just can't use the 3ph during that. It'll give ballast for a front mounted hay spear too.
3*Now that's a thought.

I find it less painfull to fill after working. Ever fill a full size backhoe in one sitting? 30 gallons at $4 a gallon just flat hurts.

New to the tractors and am trying to get in the habit of fueling and checking over the tractor each night after I am done.
