Snow Kubota L series front "quick hitch"- new vs old design - L40 / L60

The OEM hydraulic SSQA option is around $2k if I recall. I previously put a linear actuator on my old L3200 which had no power SSQA options & cost around $200-300 & a weekend of fiddling & fabrication.

I'm designing a hydraulic SSQA in my head for eventual deployment on my new L4060. It will tap into my 3rf function with manual valves (which only need to be operated when you get off to hook/unhook 3rd function impliment hoses anyways). I'm expecting it to run me $300-400 & a weekend tops. The OEM Kubota cylinder alone for that is over $800.

My air ride seat is nice, but you are right, hydraulic line snagging is a concern. I'm thinking about making a skid plate for some of the plumbing underneath as well.

Good luck with it, HorsPower.
For me, anyway, the auto-skidsteer and 4-link front hookup would just cost too dang much. I'd never pony up for them. I'm going to do what Fallon did and use a linear actuator.

I wouldn't sweat the hoses. Mine are inside and there is still plenty to catch branches on. The hoses are tougher than the branches.

The tier-4 scares me. I think it really depends on your usage. I do a lot of "puttering" type chores. Low RPM, fairly short runs, etc. I think that's really hard with DPF. Mowing or ground engaging stuff, for longer periods, I doubt DPF would be any issue at all.

I have DPF (and more) in my truck.... I'd rather not have it, but I do like the smell-free exhaust.

The auto-hydro skid steer mount is salty expensive new, but I tend to think these "fru fru" options don't convey a great resale value when equipped on a used tractor... i.e. all things held equal it is unlikely that the value of a used L60 with the option, versus one without, would be more than a few hundred dollars different in price.

Fallon, you make a good point... the ease of a auto-hydro SS mount becomes much less beneficial when you are swapping implements that utilize a 3rd function hydro connnection.

.

I was originally thinking the same thing, however the dash is going to alert the operator when a regen event is about to occur. I would think that as long as the regens weren't continually cancelled, and the tractor was idled up as necessary, it shouldnt make much difference.
