Price Check Kubota L3301

I've run my L3301 for about a year now, and can honestly say the tie-rod location has never been an issue. And I primarily work in the woods. The Treadle pedal is a matter of preference, and you "could have a JohnDeere" for that much, it would either be smaller, or be their eco line, which is objectively a lesser tractor for the money.

You have probably been very lucky my friend. Kubota don't make a "bad" product. I am willing to bet though if you lined 100 people up that you would have that the vast majority would prefer the side x side pedal on there Deere vs the toe down and heel down pedal of the Kubota. Does Johndeere offer a eco line in that horsepower that is a hydro?

I think it would be closer than you think, and it's clearly not a deal breaker, otherwise Kubota wouldn't be the segment leader it is in the US today.

And I haven't been "lucky", if you're about to ram your front axle into a stump or other obstruction, you should be aware of your surroundings and navigate around the obstacle. Considering the small space between frame and tire you'd almost have to try to hit something. There are other tractors, including some JDs, that are more problematic, because, while the tie rods are behind the axle, they're also below it, making them the low point of the front end. Bit harder to judge if you're going to clear, IMO.

I think that would depend on where you are located who the leader is in "your" area. I think we have both made some good points that could be used to help others in their decision making process. The comparable tractor with deere is a 3032e with a d160 loader.

My father in law bought an L3301 a few months back and has really enjoyed it. His main reason for getting is was to move brush and logs as well as rip up Kudzu vines, which it excels at!
Well...thanks to the strong, lightweight Wicked Grapple of course! :D

Its all in the grapple hahaha. Its always nice when you pair the right equipment for the job no matter what color it is.

yeah you could but why would you want too for the same money? Most people would forget. What would happen if you were cutting down a hill or up a hill? That logic would only work on level ground. Both tractors are good don't get me wrong. Also a Kubota doesn't have a priority valve in the steering so you lose power steering when you get a loaded bucket.
And most Deere's don't seem to be able to lift and curl the bucket at the same time, which for me is 10X more important.

Could you be more specific as to which model can't curl and lift at the same?

Yes to both!

We're actually colorblind, but those LXX01 series Kubota tractors are VERY popular tractors. We also make comparable Deere models great! :D

To update my original post and in case anyone is interested, I was able to eventually land on $22k for the L3301HST, FEL, RCR1860 and a BB1260. Not terrible. For reference, I'm located in eastern VA.
