A long time woodsman and friend of my Dad once told him. When you are going into the Bush, you take your biggest machine. I will never forget that. I guess if you don't have any big machine, you just have to scale back your expectations accordingly.

Did you do it commercially? There are a lot of people doing it, last summer the wholesale market was flooded.

For 7 years I sold some of the syrup I made to a local restaurant, that was 20 years ago, I use to go to this restaurant and bring my own syrup, the owner ask if I sell him some for the summer tourist, did alright for awhile now that restaurant is long gone but what a nice place it was to have brunch.
