Kubota L3901 vs New Holland Workmaster 40

Unless you need the extra PTO HP for something, you could save a bit and go with the L3301, it has a better HP to weight ratio. If I had it to do over again I would have gotten the L2501, since I never needed a PTO implement.

A L3560 ROPS model is less than 3K more than the L3901 on Kubota's website(with 805 loader). That's a lot of additional tractor for the money, IMO. HST+ alone would make it worthwhile. Plus pinned swaybars, extending link ends, ratchet style leveler, greater 3PT lift, better seat, more weight, hip level fueling, bigger tires, wider stance, anti-stall, cruise control, autothrottle, better ergos, a much stronger loader...

As for the L3560 being heavy for the HP, I have the cabbed version and loaded tires. It does struggle some in medium high to go up hills. Medium low-no problem, even when pulling a full box blade. Which means your speed is limited to about 5mph uphill. I don't consider that to be that big a deal, but I also don't road the tractor anywhere.

I'll disagree for the same reasons... I mow & road alot. Those need the HP. The L3200 (L3301) & L4060 are fine for traction work. They are ok for roading & mowing, but a few more HP is nicer, especially with hills & a wider mower.
