Lot of times where i would like a 9' plow or a snow pusher, but heavy deep snow would stop the tractor. 8' Plow it will keep moving but makes lots of darn windrows. I have no problem making piles that lat till May.

This is what she wanted Ariens Platinum 24''. I have 4 hours on tractor I unloaded 5 ton of wood pellets .

Very handy size . My father and I made a tie down plate behind the grill guard you would think kubota would have some thing on the front to tie down.

I don't have chains on my L45 so I just have a telescoping snow pusher blade on my tractor. The photos are from when I had it on my B26 and it was a lot of blade for that machine. The Grattex snow blade I have telescopes from 5'-6" wide to 9' wide so if I want to lighten the load I just narrow the blade.

I have attached a photo of the type of snow blower you need to tell your wife you need Peter.

Nice looking tie down setup you have there Peter. I just welded a couple of grab hooks to the sides of the front bumper but I like what you have done better. Is it part of the bumper or an additional plate you added to the front of the frame? Do you have a side view photo?

That is a slick little snowpusher. Does it angle or is it just straight ahead?

Hi Mike

There is no angling ability - it is just a straight ahead push. With the side gables and the top it will push a lot of snow - as long as I can maintain traction. I like you have a gravel driveway and I don't like raking gravel out of my wifes lawn and numerous gardens. I have a narrow driveway which opens into a large parking area so I push the parking area snow into a pile and then move it all to one spot at the rear of my property. I used to push the pile but given there is a slight slope to my driveway pushing the pile uphill was a problem - even when I narrowed the blade and took smaller bites. The other issue with the blade was like you I could only push the snow into piles about ten feet high. Towards spring in my area I would have a pretty large snow dump area.

That's why I decided to get the snowblower. Even with it I have to nibble away at the pile but it moves the snow to the back of my property much faster and with a lot less wheel spin which of course translates into frustration! The other big plus is that with the blower I can pile the snow about twenty feet high so my rear parking area does not get reduced in size near as much so I can keep access to both of my utility trailers.

The other nice thing with my Grattex snow blade is that with the top I can roll the blade all the way forward and pull snow away from a garage door or building. It is a very versatile blade and one of my better purchases. It was originally ordered with a New Holland Boomer tractor which is why it is blue and not orange but I was able to pick it up used at my dealer for a good price.

We have been setting record high temps here a half hour north of Toronto for a week but I know that the snow is coming!

It has been 90F and wicked humid here. Worse than summer, weird.

I got on the web page for Grattex snow blade, so doh duh, it does not angle. I wonder if the 5-12' to 9' or the 6'-4" to 10 ft would work better? At 6'-4" my L39 with chains would push pretty hard, as it handles an 8' commercial HD Fisher fine. 10' would be good for light clean up.
How is it on gravel.
They sure look expensive.
Bet the Boomer would have had its work cut out for it. How did your B26 do with the 9' blade?

The list price on the blade I purchased was CDN$3,995 and I purchased it a year old in 2011 for $2,400. It is quite heavy - heavier than my L45 4in1 bucket - but the B26 handled it fine. with the side gables and the ability to reduce the width of the push it will hold the snow and you can adjust it to suit your traction.

It works okay for me on gravel but of course I don't let it float until I have a good frozen base. There are usually 3 or 4 buckets of gravel once my snow pile melts in the spring that I then use to address any potholes or low spots in the driveway. The back is straight and not curved like a plow so I don't think it will cut and dig as much but I definitely have my hand on the loader control making adjustments as necessary on gravel. My biggest problem is I try to keep a few inches of clear stone around the entrances to the house to minimize dirt tracking in and I have to ensure I don't push all of that into the snow pile before I get a solid frozen base.

The heat and humidity is supposed to break here finally tonight with today's high being 29C but tomorrow only going to 19C.

Why are we talking about snow?
If we are we should be talking about ski trips, snowmobiles, etc.
