Kubota Letter/Cracked fenders/battery cover

If I'm getting close to my 1yr post purchase should I go and jump up and down to crack the deck on my bx24 before warranty is up, or is it likely that Kubota will cover as a design defect post warranty? Also, not to be offensive, but anyone under 250 lbs have their deck crack, or do you need to be relatively large? Not that it is an excuse for Kubota, just wondering if there is some threshold over which the deck is likely to crack.

timalabim - no cracks here... 170# soaking wet... and in the middle of the coldest day - as I was getting back on the tractor I slipped falling - knee first - on the farthest, least stable edge there is on the fender/platform...
Thought my knee cap popped off - but no crack in the fender...

we had a rash of these when the BX's first started shipping, but its declined substantialy. The cold weahter does not seem to be effecting the units like we all thought it would.

The creacked deck was due to a design flaw, not a fat butt If you are 150 or 250 pounds makes no difference. I am 195 and ended up with a 10" cracked deck. A M.E. can explain the flaw better then I can, and there have been several who have posted on this thread.

Kubota has made changes to help reinforce the deck. Hopefully they will not have any future problems.
