Tractor
Kubota 7030, Long Landtrac 4700
Haven't looked at either tractor yet. Kubota is older and has <4000 hrs, the Mahindra has <1000 hrs and is more money. Both have loaders. Tractor will be used about 300 hrs per year for mowing and light tillage. (3 bottom 14 inch plows) I like the 16 speed trans, but not sure it has a shuttle, on the Kubota.

Looking for the good, the bad and the ugly.

A 1k hour tractor costs more than a 4k hour tractor? Say it isn't so ;)

Beyond the colors I think the engine time is going to be a significant factor in a recommendation here.

4000 is not crazy, but I agree that is a bunch of hours. You need to go through it with a comb or get a mechanic to look at it with you if uncomfortable. No telling what is lurking....

is that a 7030 or 7040? never heard of 7030. but there's lots that escape me.
agree w/above post on checking the Kub out, 4k is a bunch of hrs. service log would be the min & have it checked out by a qualified tractor mechanic not associated w/sale. compression check would be on my list
best of luck

Kubota is a M7030, 70HP. The Mahindra is 1/3 more money. Both have FEL's and the Mahindra has a Hyd. outlet in the front. Hyd output is 11 gpm, is that enough to run a skid steer brush cutter?

Front function(third) will not run any skid steer attachments.

No. But it's plenty for a lane shark.

What's a "lane shark"?

The Kubota is from 1986-1999, the Mahindra is 2015 or later. It is possible to ruin a tractor in 100 hours of misuse and it's also possible to keep a tractor in top condition over thousands of hours. So you gotta look at the condition of each. But, comparing something that might be 35 years old and a recent model? Obviously the newer one has a natural advantage.
