I don't know what to tell you, but the valve does not have a relief valve, and if not, it has to have a shutoff valve instead.

Maybe someone screwed up, but the pictures doesn't lie, and he has been using the loader since 2002.

I don't what to tell you either BUT I never stated the "correct valve" as depicted by FEL serial number had a relief valve. The correct valve as per FEL SN doesn't have a shut off valve either. Correct pictures don't lie. Just look at the correct parts photo I posted from Messicks.

If it had a shutoff valve please explain how the shutoff valve would be utilized??

I believe it simply blocks the outlet to tank.

I have no idea why it was used in this situation.

Prince calls their no relief valve a no relief plug.

Perhaps wen can tell us how it is used.and why in this situation.

Description posted where? A shut off valve is not listed on the"CORRECT hyd valve" for FEL serial number 10082. I have never seen a shutoff valve on any closed center hyd systems I've seen or repaired. Feel free to point out the shutoff valve in this schematic.

Just download all the valves used on the LA 1002.

Then do your own homework and find which loader actually uses that shutoff valve.

I am not concerned that the valve has a shutoff valve, it does have something other than a relief valve.

Apparently it does. I sincerely hope you find it.

Since he has not blown up his tractor, then the hyd must be working right.

I am sure he doesn't care as long as the hyd works.

If he wants a valve with a relief valve, then he can certainly find one.

I've done my homework. I'm not concerned whether it has a shutoff valve because it doesn't have a shutoff valve according to the correct PDF for the valve for that serial number FEL which is my point. Evidently you have forgotten that YOU were the 1st person to mention a shutoff valve not I. As I previously stated one needs FEL serial number to determine correct hyd valve.

They probably installed whatever valve they had on hand.

After reviewing the post I think Wen isn't the 1st person to mention shutoff valve but jasong123 did in post #21 and then it's mention continued from there. If Wen's FEL valve has a shutoff then it must have an incorrect valve for his loader serial number.

Can you please explain how this shutoff valve operates and it's intended purpose as I can't determine it's function??

Yep, it was jasong123. Apparently he worked for the company that makes the Husco valves.

I believes it works by closing off the relief valve outlet to tank and keeps the fluid flowing downstream.

Here is a description for a Husco shut off plug I posted earlier.

A SHUT-OFF PLUG P/N 52610 IS PLACED IN THE AUXILIARY
PORT TO DIRECT THE THRU NEUTRAL PASSAGE TO HIGH
PRESSURE POWER BEYOND. POWER BEYOND IS ACTIVE
WHEN ALL THE SPOOLS IN THE VALVE ASSEMBLY ARE IN
THE NEUTRAL POSITION.*

Prince does something similar by installing a no relief plug in the relief port of the convertible valves.

If you use one of their convertible valves to make it a closed center valve, you either use the PB and plug it or install a CC plug in the PB port.

You also install a no relief plug in the relief port as the valve does not need a relief valve.

That is my story and I am sticking to it.
