Kubota MMM Mounting

I am looking at 2 different used kubota mid mount mower decks and am wondering if either will mount (without many modifications) on my 94 B1750 with 1640 A FEL. The mmms are as follows:

-RC60-21B, was mounted on a 99 B1700.
-RCK 54-24B, was mounted on a 2000 B2450

If both will mount, which is the better mower, they are priced the same.

Find a friendly Kubota parts person and check the part numbers for the deck (that's the bare housing) of the mmm which you know fits your model, then check the part numbers for the housing of the decks for the two used mid mount mowers.

If either of the two used mower housings' part numbers is the same as that of the housing of the mower that Kubota specifys for your model you have a winner. You'll then need to compare the parts listing for each which will tell you which parts you need to mount it to your tractor.

In my case I have a mmm for the L3710. I got to wondering if it would fit an L2900 which a local dealer happens to have. The model numbers of the two mmms (RC72-29A & RC72-36A) are different. But when you look at the parts books, the only difference is some of the lift parts. Even the main mounting bracket is the same. Finding out that the part numbers of the two housings were the same was my "Ah ha!" moment.

If you ask a dealer straight out if you can fit one of the two used mowers to your tractor, they'll probably go by the book and tell you no unless they're the same model number.

The same folks will be glad to give you part numbers over the phone. FWIW, I asked the local Kubota dealer for prices two months ago. Haven't heard anything yet. Not that I'm not holding my breath.

I've found them to be a big help. If you call them and check the part numbers on the mower decks and you get a match, you can ask them to send you a copy of the parts diagrams. Then you can see which parts you need to fit the mower to your tractor.

SeeCerpent, I have a 1996 B1550 hydro with turf tires. It is the same body style as yours but you have a little more hp. I have a 1640 Kubota front end loader mounted to it along with the Kubota mower, model RC60-B. According to the Kubota owner's manual on the mower the RC60-21B is designed to fit on the B2150. The B1550 and B1750 will accept the RC54-B and RC60-B mower only. I went with the RC60-B because it was the same price as the 54 inch model but just a little wider. Hope this helps you. Thanks Stanley. I spoke with my local dealer and he thought I might be able to make the RC60-21B work if I'm prepared to do a little machining. Re my reply to Darren, I might be able to get the parts book and figure out what I'm up against.
