Your avatar appears to be a CK20 with a grapple. I have been told that the tractor is too light to use one.

Where did you get it? How much did it cost? How useful is it?

Thanks

If you are referring to me then yes that is a CK20 with a "light duty" 48 inch Millonzi grapple. The CK20 was well matched to the grapple and I did a lot of work with it mostly clearing brush. The Millonzi, which is said to weigh about 300lbs, is no longer made but it is roughly equivalent to the Markham light duty or the WRLong OBG.

The lift capacity at pivot pins for the KL120 loader is about 1100lbs as I recall so there is still a pretty good net lift capacity with the grapple replacing the bucket. If I dug the grapple into the roots of a "too big" tree, I would lift the loaded rear wheels right off the ground despite having a 500lb bush hog as rear ballast. I'd say that shows that the CK20/KL120 was certainly up to the task but in fact could have used more weight to give optimal grapple use.

I now use the same grapple on my DK40se which being both more powerful and heavier is an even better match for the grapple. However, I would not hesitate for a moment in recommending an appropriate light duty grapple for the CK20. I simply used the rear remotes to control mine and was very happy with that set up.

Let's hope not. :D She sounds like a lovely talented kid. Wouldn't want her to be too influenced by an argumentative, cantankerous HF basher. Of course Dad is rightfully proud but I'm giving full credit to Mrs Dargo and I'm sure an impartial investigation will prove me right.

LOL :D I'd venture to say that even a biased view by a crabby old fart would have to say that you're right on the money. :)

Sorry to have wondered off the subject. It honestly was rooted in the spirit of the topic of the thread. It's just a little pride got in my way. Again, sorry for the diversion. Back to your normally scheduled thread.

You know, being valedictorian really isn't that big a deal.

Heck, I was valedictorian.

'course, I was a home-schooled only child!

In all seriousness, congratulations to you and your daughter - it is quite an accomplishment.

Out of curiousity, does her school have multiple valedictorians or just one? When I graduated, we were on the 100 point scale and you had one valedictorian and one salutatorian. For the last several years, they have been on the 4.0 scale, so they have anwhere between three and a dozen valedictorians (which I think is kind of silly).

Congrats again.

If you are like me, I tend to keep my equipment a long time ,(my old tractor is 23 years old), but if you are one to sell/trade often, then the Kubota would be the better choice because it will have a much better resale/trade value. Just something to keep in mind.

Thanks. She graduated from a reasonably small school, 246 in her graduating class, but she was #1 of that class.

I compared a Kioti CK20 and a kubota B7610. While both tractors were very well built the Kioti was 500#s heavier than the Kubota. The Kioti had 200# greater lift capacity. The Kubota had 24hp, the kioti 20hp. All said and done I bought the Kubota for 2 main reasons, it had a better and longer warranty, and the dealer had been around for 50+ years. The Kioti dealer ran a hack shop and had only been around for appx 10 yrs.

I have had zero issues with my Kubota, it mows my 2 acres of property with ease, then plows and sand my driveway all winter.

Best money I have ever spent.

What warranty is that? The 24 month limited warranty that ONLY applies to non-commercial use? The one that gets cut in half to 12 months if purchased as a commercial unit or under a commercial name?
Kioti's warranty is 48 months for ANY USE and not limited to non-commercial use plus there is NO HOUR LIMIT on the warranty...

I just want to make sure the original poster gets correct information...

He bought his B7610 several years ago. Before Kioti went to the 48hr warranty. I think that explains his comment.
