Hello! I am kinda new to tractors. I have and old Ford 801 and a 1950 IH Cub. I am looking at a Kubota B2601. I want the back hoe attachment. If I get that does it mean the tractor does not come with the 3 point hitch?

Thanks!

You should get the lift arms for the 3PH when you get the tractor with the backhoe.

What kind of work do you plan to do with the backhoe? Backhoes are expensive and cumbersome to remove/store/install. Many find that saving up projects and renting a mini excavator is less expensive and more efficient than having a backhoe on an B series. However, some find having a backhoe available anytime is indispensable. Assess your needs carefully.

You are contemplating a complete B2601 tractor, with optional Backhoe. So, yes, all the Three Point Hitch components will ship with the tractor. Make sure the dealer delivers the Three Point Hitch components to you.

Explain the Backhoe task(s) you have in mind.

We may be able to suggest FEL bucket attachments or Three Point Hitch implements that will satisfy your needs at a fraction of Backhoe price. Or not.

Thanks for the replies... I thought that getting the 3 point lift parts was the case when adding the back hoe. Thanks for verifying.

I have rented a small track hoe many times in the past. The cost is ~$1000 a week with delivery and pick up. Seems like wasted money when I could have bought one of these to do the work and have it when I wanted it. Plus busting cheese to get my work done in a compressed time frame so I could keep the cost lower really bugs me.

When my wife said, you should just get one... I said who am I to argue?

I need it for drainage ditch cleaning, road culvert repair, plant relocation, pond maintenance, etc.

Appreciate the replies.

Backhoes are expensive and cumbersome to remove/store/install. .

I don't get the cumbersome to remove/store or install part!

I haven't found any of the newer backhoe attachments in any real way hard to deal with unless you consider having to remove the 3 point arms on some a hardship. But again if that's the case maybe you should re-think tractor ownership overall!

The backhoe on our Kioti is so easy to take off and remove that the wife actually offers to do that for me while I do other things that actually are hard to do!

I can agree with you on that!

Thanks...
