Kubota Regeneration

I know my dealer personally as well as his head mechanic or should I say 'technician' and I asked him candidly one time a while ago about the emissions junk and his reply was.... I just sell and service them but my personal engines are all pre Tier 4.

Guess that covers that.
Well, that certainly covers his personal preference. But he also misses out on the advantages and comforts of many new improvements on present day tractors. To each, their own.........

That is why I have had enough of it. Time and time again.

That I can understand. That would really tick me off also. Hope they get it figured out soon. I did not realize yours was doing that.

Was at my dealer's this afternoon to pick up some items, drop off a couple gallons of apple cider (I made killer cider, it's fantastic) and was chewing the fat with him and the head wrench. Like his head tech says, most owners who buy them (Kubota's) don't ever put enough hours on them to be of consequence, least the smaller ones and he sells a bunch of them.

Besides, with 2100 minimum regeneration cycles on a cartridge, that equates to over 3000 meter hours and when was the last time yo saw a smaller Kubota with that many hours? Probably never.

Don't apply to the bigger ones so I guess we will see how that pans out.

I have 3500 plus hours on one of my M's but it took quite a few years to accrue that and I have 2 so the hours get split anyway.

Not really. He's a volume dealer so I don't think he is 'missing out' on anything. Don't consider Tier 4 final to be an improvement, well, maybe for tree huggers but not for the end user.

Mine are pretty 'comfortable with climate control, air ride seats, stereo and all the other 'comforts' you allude to.

Like what? We’re not talking 1970s vs today. My L3240 or 310j or M59 didn’t have the latest emissions garage and they’re all 3 pretty much the same machine minus the emissions garage as one built this year.

8 weeks without a tractor. Although I have brought it home twice so far just to put it back on a trailer and bring it back again. Over an hour each way plus borrowing a trailer each time. This is not fun by any means. I just wish Kioti would let the dealer replace everything in it like the DPF, injectors, ECU and whatever else could possibly go wrong and get this fixed.

My B3350 was in the shop for 12 continuous weeks this summer.

It had about 32 hours on it when it went in and now has about 42. No regen yet since back.

This is the second time that it has been in the shop and the second time that it has regened.

Thanks, feds.

That stinks. My problems with my Kioti didn't start until around 420 hours. I can't recall a regen ever until around 300 hours. Just maybe that is part of the problem. They already had to pull the DPF apart to have it cleaned out because it was plugged up solid.

I'm talking real tractors, not your toys. Farm tractors, not weekend editions for suburbanites.

The 310 and and m59 are construction equipment not weekend editions and this is the weekend warrior website. If a piece of equipment that’s less than 10 years old is outdated by your standards than whatever happens to the emissions crap in 20-30 years seems like a moot point.
