BobS,

Seems like just about everyone who has a "major brand" tractor loves it. They are all reliable and strong workers.

I like both of mine, a BX2200 and a B2910...

I guess I like the B2910 the most though. Me and him do the most work. The smaller one cuts the grass and helps with other things some of the time... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

After you buy your tractor you will wonder how you got along without it...

You'll love it. I've got a M8950 with nearly 8000 hours on it now and it still runs like a champ!

bobs:

I have BX22 (now the BX23) that I purchased new about a year ago. I has 100 hours on it. I have had only one minor problem with it. The parking brake would not release. My dealer took care of it during the fifty hour service. While this is a small machine, it's fine for the three acres that I have. Like most of us, it's a toy. When I need to calm down, I climb on it and find something to do. When I was looking aroung at machines, a JD about the same size with the same equipment was about $5,000.00 more. The majority of the machine is manufacturered in the USA with the engine coming from Japan.

In addition, about four months ago I purchased a RTV900. So far it has outperformed my expectitions with no problems. My only problem is that the dealer I purchased the BX22 from changed their operation, so I stayed with my salesman when he went to a different dealership 30 miles futher away.

Hope this helps somewhat with your decision.

love my BX22. seems well put together and rugged enough. have had no problems, recently did the 50 hr service myself...easy. wish it had work lights, a horn, a parking brake indicator, and a proximity sensor built into the ROPS...twice now that I smashed into the garage header cause I forgot to lower the ROPS before pulling in.

I liked my old B7100 so much that I bought a B7510. I looked at JD's but they just didn't appeal to me.

Only problems I have ever had with the B7100 were caused by "operator error".

The B7510 only has 7.5 hours on it and so far I love it.

Bobs, I have a B7800 w/some modifications (loaded R-4s, heavy duty alternator, worklights, Tnt, toothbar, etc.) and it is just incredible how much use I get out of it and the variety of work that it does. Last week we had an early 6" snowfall here and, after removing the toothbar, the FEL made real short work of the 4' EOD pile of compressed wet snow and ice left by the town plow. Incidentally, I found that my R-4s get pretty good traction in snow. I don't have chains yet and may not need them.

This past summer/fall, I cleared and reduced to wood chips 1/2 acre of brush, excavated a 20x80 landscaping pond and graded an access road to my back land.

Two weeks ago, I had to build an isolation kennel for one of my dogs (he had a dust-up with a rabid skunk /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif ) and dug 12 2' holes in very rocky soil for the chain link fence posts. That was a job that would have taken at least two entire weekends with a shovel and prybar, but was completed in about 4 hours with my backhoe, despite having to remove boulders as large as 2 1/2 feet in diameter.

There are uses that I have made of my tractor in the eight months that I have had it that I never dreamed of prior to buying it. I suspect that the experience of most owners has been similar. In retrospect, my decision to buy a tractor would have been even easier (it wasn't all that hard /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif ), had I known all of the uses that I would find for it.

Bottom line is that I am impressed with what even my 30hp (22pto) machine can do. I can only imagine (and salivate) over what an m9000 is capable of.

Moreover, it has been trouble free and service so far (I did the 50 hr. myself about 4 months ago and am just coming up on the 100 hr.) has been pretty easy and straightforward.

I can't compare the Kubota with NH or Deere because I have no experience with them, but I am entirely satisfied with what I bought.

Hope this helps.

It's so good I don't even mind paying for it for five years. Even the wife admits how handy it is. We are able to take on projects that we never would have hired done.
In terms of property value, I am going to get a darned good return on my investment, not to mention all the fun I have on it.
And if you get a loader, without a doubt, get a toothbar. Best $200 I've spent lately. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
