L-39 HYDRAULIC COUPLING MYSTERY

Based on what I see in the Parker catalog, the OEM Kubota rear remotes apparently are the "Connect Under Pressure Coupling 8200 Series" setup, whereas either or both of the couplers can be under pressure and still be attached.

You still have to tug on them pretty hard to get them out but they are 100% easier than the old style couplers. They save alot of time when yu are changing implements alot.

Here's the latest info. I drove up to the dealer, hoping that we could match the proper coupler to a kubota valve on his lot. No luck.
He called the dealer helpline, and I am still waiting for a reply.
No reply to my e-mails to Parker or Kubota yet.
I'll attach some better pictures.

Good luck Walt, that is the exact same setup that I have on my three rear remotes too, as you can see in the attached pic.

If worse comes to worse, you can always remove the Kubota ones and simply install the normal female Pioneer Quick Connect ones with the slip collar and go from there.

Kinda weird that even the dealer doesn't have any idea what they are when he installed them??? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Sky Pup:

I hate to agree with your assesment, after paying $900.00+ for the valve set-up. But if I want to use the remotes in the near future, I may have to install a matching female pioneer coupler.

I bought the valve kit with the 25% off Kubota coupon last fall & installed it myself. As the directions were not clear to me, the third time I swapped the hoses around, I got it right. I am now an expert at removing & reinstalling the right tire & fender. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks for your help.

I still would be interested in whatever you do find out from Kubota and Parker or your dealer.

Somewhere, somehow, sometime, someone will know.... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

This is the reply from Parker.
Hopefully Kubota will be able to answer my questions.

Bad News Then Good News:

TBN'ERs

1st: My dealer was given the KUBOTA part # 7000-02489 for the male coupler. $52.00 each /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif.
As you might imagine, I told him to wait on ordering me any.

I called KUBOTA and after going through numerous administrative people, I talked to a fellow in the parts. dept.
He stated that he had received other calls on this, and was familiar with my question.
PARKER is the vendor of their hydraulic fittings, & the KUBOTA rep. said to use the standard 8010-4 male fitting. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Somebody could finally tell me the correct male end to use.

I stopped at a local tractor dealer, a purchased the proper connector for $6.00, along with a 1/2" to 3/8" reducer for $1.55.
This is AKA the standard male Pioneer coupler.

The Female couplers that are supplied with the KUBOTA valve body do have a internal slip coupler, vs. the common exterior slip ring.

The Pioneer coupler is a 1/2" female pipe thread to your cylinder hose. I needed 2- 1/2" male to 3/8" female pipe thread reducers to connect to the cylinder hoses.

Once the connections were made, tractor fun was to be had.
Angling the rake/blade without leaving the tractor seat is what the good life is all about.

Attached are some pictures of the completed set up.
