3-Point Hitch L-series Jerky 3PH - Jeff's homebrew repair.

This may or may not be related, but lately I've been having problems with people who deny what they say.
I've talked to salesmen on the phone and when confronted in person I hear "I never said that, or You misinterpreted me"
This is frustrating. I hate to confront people and say Yeah, but put it in writting, maybe I ought to carry a tape recorder.

Any smartphone will record, both video and audio.. and there are many audio only applications for smartphones, that will quick record large audio files. When the dealer said "it will smooth out when it warms up" it would have been great to have that little file. I use one called Easy Voice Recorder for my android phone, works well and is easy to use.

If you need to do that you need a new Dealer. I had a L3800 for 4 days and my Kubota dealer took it back. He told me if I did not like the Tractor I will take that machine back with less than 15 hours and he did. I did end up buying a used MF 135 from him cause his word is good. That's what a good dealer should be.

Agreed. If the dealer wants your business for the long term, he will make it right, or trade you a different tractor. Perhaps he has a 3240 or 3540 Grand L still on the lot. That would fix it!. Of course you would have to pony up some more bucks, as it is a fully featured tractor.

I wish there was a rule, 15 hour satisfaction or your money back.

Chuck, how is your L3200 equipped? Is it stock, have the SSQA bucket? telescoping stabilizers? Hydrostatic trans? If you can get your money back, there are plenty of other brands that offer more "stuff" for a lot less money. Something to think about. Or come up with some more money for a Grand L. They offer a bunch more features. But they are a "bunch" more money.

I have the ssqa bucket, optional 3pt. stabilezer chains, block heater, R1 loaded tires. I rigged up a bucket level indicator and welded chain hooks on the loader. Seems like an expensive toy to me. I'd love to get a more powerful, heavier machine.
It's a shame. I wish I could be like others who say they love their new machine.

Give it time, they might come up with a fix. Kubota's are not junk.

yeah, it is pretty much the one and only fault with that machine. As someone put it "a wart on a pretty girls face". If you can get the dealer to fix it, great. My original dealer had no interest in talking about the problem, I went to another dealer, and he tried everything he could to get Kubota regional to help even split the cost of the Grand L valve to solve the problem, and they would not do it. This dealer tried very hard to solve this, but I could not expect him to come up with the money to solve it, as he did not make a dime in the sale of the tractor. Kubota Regional's attitude was "It is an economy tractor, if you wanted a deluxe tractor you should have bought a deluxe tractor".

So I did.. I bought a Kioti. I used the tractor for 228 hours, and it was fine in all other respects. The hitch was not the only reason I traded tractors, I wanted a more deluxe tractor with more deluxe features, and more lift ability, but it was always in the back of my mind.

For some users the hitch does not matter. And truthfully for most of what I did with the tractor (mostly loader work) it did not matter that much. But it did stick in my craw that Kubota Regional manager, did not give two hoots in hades about my problem.

I'd like to confront the dealer with this attitude, "I don't want it back till you fix it"
In reality, whats my recourse? I feel I paid top dollar for a new machine with a good warranty. I want this machine to be right, is that asking too much? Should I settle for a new 17k machine that doesn't work right? Is Kubota's attitude that I paid 17k, if I want smooth pto I should have upgraded and paid 25k? I know I'm jumping the gun. The dealer might come through for me and fix this. I'm just thinking ahead, making sure I'm prepared.
