Buying Advice L series, what makes it Grand?

/ L series, what makes it Grand? #61
Is this post a joke or are you serious?

First, the model numbers all start with L, not SL and GL or anything else, just L.

Second, Kubota makes a great tractor. The standard L isn't for me, but I'd be happy with a Grand L. My Kioti has features a grand L doesn't and it's missing some that the grand L has. My Kioti is more capable in some ways, and less so in others. I'm assuming by "the most advance tractor built in that size range" you're talking about HST+ on the new grand L's. Yes it's impressive and I hope Kioti develops their own advanced HST. FYI Kubota wasn't the first company to develop an advanced HST transmission, so if you consider anything developed by others to be "copies" of it, you'd really have to call HST+ a copy as well.

I don't really care what Kubota names their tractors, and I'm dropping the whole thing after this post. The thing is, they're confusing even Kubota owners and fooling them into thinking they're getting the same tractor with less features. BX owners don't think they're getting the same thing a B owners even though there's some overlap of hp and there's just as big of a difference in frame size with the L and grand L.

LXX40 is a a grand L.

I did notice that some people are confused about the difference and it is not a new for them to have two versions but they have done the same thing for years and with the Grand it has defined them better then in the past. When you talk of advanced hydro features that are worth while to an owner I haven't noticed anti stall in anyone elses literature yet and there are a couple of other things there that I haven't seen but that is one nice feature for someone that might not be used to operating a loader tractor, or even a skid steer.

I'm with kiotiken, I'm through with this one too. It's turned into a he said she said, I didn't see it do it so it didn't happen, not worth a penny, now a it's turning into a Kioti vs. Kubota and so on.

I think they will go one more. Kubota didn't invent the tractor you know.

I realize that they didn't although they did start the market here in compacts when in 1969 they brought the L-200 to USA. At that time the larger tractor companies here were telling us they will never amount to anything or be a threat. Today even deere has gone from buying the compact tractor chassis from Yanmar a very reliable company to building in it's own in plants in china and india. I think anyone would be hard pressed to find a company that has given more to the compact tractor industry then Kubota.

I love people that don't own Kubotas visiting us Kubota owners in our Kubota owners forum. :cool2:Your always welcome and when we see you don't own a Kubota and went for the cheaper brand we (I) know where your coming from. I don't expect any great contributions to me as a Kubota owner from those that don't own a Kubota and my expectations have mostly been met. Aren't there General tractor owners forums on TBN? Maybe I'll look one day and see if there are.
I own Kubotas and am happy with them so I never go over to the other brands forums and see what their concerns and issues and problems and complaints are, no reason to ever do so that I can see/imagine.
Those that are coming up with that great retort that will put me in my place, I say to you in advance.:cool2: :D  :cool2: :confused2:  and finally
