L2800 3 point shudder problem

I am in central KY, but I grew up just below Evansville IN. In Henderson KY. I have been in Central KY for 4 years now and that is where the service is being taken care of for my 3-point shudder. Small world wouldn't you say...Our dealers probably talk and move equipment from place to place, so it may have been your situation that he was reffering to. I hope to hear back soon from him when they put the 1/4" valve in there.

Finally talked to a Rep at the Dealership I bought the tractor from he said it would be 2 to 3 weeks before he can get to it and it would take that long to get the valve after ordering .
The Rep said , "Thought we had taken care of all the L2800 and 3400 that we sold" , I told him well you missed one !
Kind of pees me off that I said something right when I first got the tractor and was told it was normal , this was before a fix was known , then when more had the same problem and Kubota finally came up with a fix , Kubota did not contact me and ask to fix it or inform me there was a fix at all .

Glad to hear that you are going to be able to get it fixed. You will see a noticeable difference in your 3PT smoothness. Still a little jerky but much more manageable.

After 5 days, I followed up with the dealer that is supposedly doing the repair to see if the tractor had been fixed yet. The service tech said that they were waiting to hear back from Kubota to see whether a rep was going to come out. The thing that burns me is that the customer service rep told me that this was normal for the L2800's. Way to be on the customers side right!! I said it's far from normal and I've never seen this type of voilent shaking on any other Kubota's JD's or NH's. If they try to pull that game I will have to see if an attorney deems the 3-point functional. (ok probably not but I feel better saying it.) More to come.

Paid a visit to the service dept at the local dealer. tractor hadn't been moved in 5 days so I wasn't happy. After an hour sitting in the service dept office bouncing calls back and forth from the rep to the corporate office and then back to me...I got Kubota to say that they would upgrade the valve at no charge. Of course they tell me that the L2800, L3400 and L4400 are all "economy" tractors and come with an economy valve. That verbage didn;t sit well with me and I think they got my drift. Lesson learned, squeaky wheel gets the grease and always deal with the person who sells you the unit even if it's 75 miles away. They told me that as long as I can get it to the selling dealer, they have agreed to fix it at no cost to me.

Whoever is the idiot who is telling these guys to rub in the "economy tractor" business should loose his job in my opinion.

The original valve moves in 1" increments. NOTHING in the sales literature says anything about the 3PT valve being inferior than other tractors.

Yes we understand this isn't the premium tractor. The hour meter is not digital and it dosen't have other bells and whistles that the Grand L series is advertised to have. Nobody said squat about it having a 1 inching valve when I layed down over $20k of my hard earned cash.

I love the product but I've been less than impressed with corporate Kubota. They know that they are upgrading the valves...why try to suggest that they are doing us a favour.

I agree with you canoetpr. The economy word is starting to get on my nerves. I didn't want all the bells and whistles of the grand L anyway. I'm suprised Kubota hasn't started calling the L series the "E" series at this point

This is what I would tell them:

An economy tractor means it does not have all the features like, electronic dashboard, more comfortable adjustable seats, hydraulic PTO, etc.

Enconomy does NOT mean the features provided do not work!
